How’d she get her ash smudge in the shape of an M?

Took me too long to get that. Need more coffee. :coffee:

I’ll just head down to the local S-Mart to shop smart.

Many years ago, I gave up giving up things for Lent (other than the standard fasts, etc)

it was the chronic pain thing. I’m chronically sacrificing/doing penance, as it were. I would rather not gild the lily, thanks.

I do the prayer/almsgiving stuff for Lent. This year, my Lenten reading is Imitation of Christ, this version:

A very nice person sent me a paperback copy, and I highly recommend it. I’m a few chapters in. I try to do a chapter a day, to contemplate.

I’ve added Psalm reading, which will extend beyond Lent. I need to figure out how to build regular meditation into my schedule.

That is good enough it should be cross posted in the SFW thread.

a day late, but…

halfyway through Lent!

Why pink?

Are Lectionary texts the same for Catholics and Protestants? Man, I’m tired of the Prodigal Son. (It keeps coming to me from different directions.)
