I mean…if you didn’t like the guy already, there’s not much lower he can go in terms of your opinion of him.
This sentence works whether you were talking about Epstein or Bannon.

Isn’t Bannon just one of those repugnant people that many already despise? The people who dislike him, already dislike him, the people who still like him, aren’t going to be bothered by the Epstein connection.
I’m shocked, shocked that the DOJ is choosing not to meet the deadline to release the Epstein files.

We really have to make examples out of these people when they are no longer in power. Blatant disregarding of the law with no consequences…
I’m not suggesting anything extreme, but prison time for all of them. Public hearings. No exceptions.
Public executions were popular in the good old days.
I would hope that if/when the Dems get the trifecta next there would be legislation passed that imposed some reason on the various immunities currently in place, as well as clarifying who has standing to bring suit in situations where there is a potential abuse of power issue.
Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen.
I’m aware of individual ICE agents hassling people recording their activities by challenging them with the question, “what good do you think that’s going to do?”
The answer ought to be “in three years your immunity from being held personally accountable will probably go away, and the statute of limitations for your crimes is five years”….but realistically, that’s wishful thinking.
This was useful. Images require expansion
Screenshot of 5 pages of Grand Jury testimony. All redacted. North of 100 pages of grand jury testimony that a federal judge ordered released was redacted. The judge did give guidelines on materials that could be redacted, but presumably not this extensively.
Seems that Epstein used Andrew to gain access to British High Society as well.
Dragging this out is just going to make things much worse for them.
Its Trump’s base that are getting increasingly angry at the obvious attempts at stalling.
Oh no, not Walter Cronkite!
Famed newsman Walter Cronkite pictured in latest Epstein drop
From CNN’s Allison Gordon

Walter Cronkite picuted with Jeffrey Epstein.
Dept. of Justice
Late CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite is pictured several times in the latest batch of Epstein documents released Friday.
In a series of photos labelled “Walter Cronkite 1/07,” Cronkite sits across from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on a couch next to another man.
Earlier this year, Cronkite’s name was listed in a trove of flight logs made public by the House Oversight Committee. According to the document, he travelled with Epstein decades after his retirement from Newark, New Jersey, to Epstein’s private island in St. Thomas in January 2007.
Given that they redacted or withheld most details in this “release”, seems a bit pointless.
One thing released that was probably an oops: there was a photo of an open desk drawer that had pictures of Dear Leader. DOJ promptly removed it after people spotted it
DOJ also removed the employee that released it?
It is astonishing how large a percentage there seems to be of such folks. Do they do this because they already have everything so they get bored?
There is indeed an element of that. Pushing the boundaries of what they can get away with because they feel immune from consequences. A sort of Affluenza applies.
A lot of the people that interacted with Epstein are wealthy older men who seem to have unhappy marriages and/or are going through a mid-life crisis later on in life.
Its always the same thing: Sex (as they already have money and drugs would be too problematic for most of them).
Just look at the number of older married men who were friends with Epstein and used him as a pathway to try to live some of their sexual fantasies.
In my experience, you tend to develop these mid-llfe crisis later on in life if you didn’t have a very satisfying life in your 20s to 30s. Have a few examples of friends I grew up with going down this path (never partied or had fun in their 20s and 30s) that basically went bonkers in their 40s when they built some real wealth.
So if you mix in I am wealthy so I believe that I can avoid any consequences with a mid-life crisis later on in life you get these sort of individuals.
Epstein was truly dysfunctional though. This guy was damaged beyond repair which makes me think he kept his true nature hidden from most of the people he was friendly with by design.
This administration continues to astonish me with some of their choices.
