Epstein and Trump's Wonderful Secret

Larry Summers, former Harvard President as well as Secretary of the Treasury under Clinton, was exchanging emails with Epstein about a Chinese grad student that he was sexually harassing. They nicknamed her ‘peril’ (as in yellow peril). The poor woman has been doxxed by the media, because why let the needs of a victim interfere with a salacious article even if her name isn’t necessary for the story.

So Trump and MTG can reconcile now?

Finally, the team working on redacting his name has finished the process! Took them 10 months, so that’s all anyone needs to know about their work.

I don’t know who can have an initial reaction of, “Well, Trump definitely hasn’t assaulted little girls at least, it’s only teen minors that they’re talking about!

I’m really not interesting in splitting hairs between which specific type of child sex abuser is okay to be the President. No type should be.

There was some doubt whether Senate would also vote for the release. Will Trump advise Senate Republicans to vote for the release?

He could advise some as to whether they are in the files or not.

I just happened to notice that the bill they’ll be voting on calls for unclassified documents to be released to the public.

The President has the power to classify or declassify anything he damn well pleases.

Trump just found out that he could veto the bill, which will require an override vote, which won’t likely pass.

But surely he would much rather that the bill didn’t pass, than that he successfully vetoed it.

Us ordinary folks cannot possibly hope to comprehend the strategery of our Glorious Leader’s 6-D chess.

Not Epstein, but another example of the current administration helping out sex traffickers.

Wait . . . I thought we’re saying that he’s into A or maybe B chest . . . I’m confused now . . .

The next president can also do this, assuming there is one.

Probably we’ll be trying to forget about Trump by then, but it is another potential mine.

It’s worth asking the question: who else is implicated in the files, and how much do they contribute to whom?

House to vote on full Epstein files’ release, Speaker Johnson says he’ll vote to support Epstein files bill - ABC7 Los Angeles

You do you Clay Higgans. Is he retiring after this term?

He needs to keep the pro-pedophile vote in his district. They are the key to winning.
Surprised by the near unanimous-ness of it.
“We are not the party of pedophiles” take.
Maybe Senators are more likely to be in the Epstein Files? Why is this going to be dragged out there?

Even if the measure passes through the House and Senate and is ultimately signed into law by Trump, it’s unlikely the Justice Department would release the entire Epstein file, according to sources. Any materials related to ongoing investigations or White House claims of executive privilege will likely remain out of public view.

So, a waste of energy.

Trump does not need to wait for Congress to act – he could order the release immediately.

And yet, he “has nothing to hide,” per Johnson.

Clay’s responses seems more thoughtful than the response of others in his party who fought so hard to NOT release it for so long. johnson avoided swearing in the rep from AZ specifically to delay the release by 50 days or so. that said, clay - read the room! is this your hill?

Eta - i did not check clays prior statements on the topic to see if this recent quote was consistent or merely convenient

I fully expect the DOJ or FBI to “start an investigation into Trump” regarding this, thereby preventing the release of certain information. Seeing as they are completely incompetent, it would be natural of them to Clouseau this up for the next three (or infinity) years.

There are other ways that (Trump’s) Department of Justice could restrict what is released publicly. Not optimistic that anything released will damage Trump.
