I remember thinking the cheap pizza we used to get (“Grogs…home of chow!”) at college was pretty good.

Now I live in Connecticut, and I’ve become a pizza snob.

i miss the meximelt. they ended it, so I could order a cheesy roll up with beef and pico. then they ended having pico. the meximelt was amazing and without it I lack the main reason I liked going there

My teen daughter had her first Crunchwrap Supreme the other day and she raved about it.

That was my go too… Taco Bell recently opened up here to great excitement…

Perhaps things have slowed down a bit where it wouldn’t be horrible to try it…

I’m used to fast food restaurants with cult followings drawing huge crowds when new ones open. (And my wife and I did queue for an embarrassingly long time when Krispy Kreme tried to make a go of it near Hartford…and it was worth it!)

My brain hurts at the notion that Taco Hell would be such a place.

Had to look up the name out of that town in Newfoundland because had never heard of it.

Seems tiny for a Taco Bell (22k residents)

Mount Pearl is a suburb of St. John’s that is basically a continuation of the city. By wider standards it’s still small, but the metro area population is around 225k to 250k.

Almost big enough for a second taco bell. They seem to pop up in small towns in the US between 5 and 10k.
