For those interested, I noticed Amazon sells Panacur C which is what my vets have used to treat giardia. It’s much cheaper than buying it from the vet, let alone the cost of a vet visit. Next time I think I will treat her myself.
Do you need a vet’s prescription to get it from Amazon? We used to order heartworm chews on-line and needed a vet’s note to get them.
I think for most meds you need a prescription. Looked like I could just buy the Panacur
They gave mine a shot at the visit and then 5 days of Flagyl. ![]()
Interesting. Since that’s an antibiotic it would of course require a prescription

Every year the pool at the nearby public park has an event the first weekend after they close the pool: the splish splash doggie bash. Your dogs are invited to come splash in the pool, with the proceeds benefitting the park. It was fun and pandemonium
Dog: [staring at me with pleading eyes and a ball in her mouth]
Me: I’d be playing with you right now if I wasn’t filling your damn holes in the garden!
Why does the dog suddenly decide to be super picky about the poop location? Sometimes she will start to assume the position, say nah, then look for another spot many times consecutively. It’s generally all the same patch of grass in a relatively small area.

Gave birth to one little girl yesterday - so far so good - she’s nursing well and mamma is protective and taking good care of her
the folks who take a dog (or any animal) into their care and then…don’t care for them anger me too.
I’m pretty sure the dog has giardia again. I’m going to try home treatment this time. Cost is $40 since I have a big dog, but if you have a small dog it would cost a lot less.
In case any of you are ever interested for your dog, this worked and the dog is back to normal. It’s a recommended 3 day dosage, and she has one more due today which I will still give her.
My dog, Audie, a Labradoodle, is just over a year old. He is puking between 1x every other day and 1x a day. We’ve brought him to the vet over Thanksgiving for this. We thought it may have been the chicken dog food that he was eating. We have since switched to a sensitive dog food (salmon and rice). But he’s still puking. We’re going to have to do another vet visit. This time we’ll likely do blood work and probably an x-ray.
Poor boy.
Have you scaled back to like white rice and chicken breasts (no seasoning)?
