Similar reaction here. I would phase it a bit differently. I am always suspicious of his intent. Sometimes those suspicions are borne out, sometimes not. It’s just impossible to tell them apart.

I kinda wish they would stop trying to correct stuff like this. Trump is hyperbolic and it is a waste of time.
Just report he said his usual non-factual nonsense and move on. Giving him any more time than that is giving him what he wants.

Yeah, and a lot of journalists make the same mistake. How many times have I read that “X is five times smaller than Y” rather than “X is one-fifth of Y?” Drives me crazy so I have given up.

I appreciate his work mocking Trump at the Lincoln Project, but I don’t see him as a Democrat just because he hates Trump. Sounds like it will be a crowded field for the seat.

Example - I despise Trump. I think he’s personally vile and immoral and generally a harmful person.
I think Trump’s initiative to get rid of the penny was the correct move. The way he went about it was legally questionable, and in normal times would be brought up by opponents as an overreach. However, there actually was shaky legal reasoning - or at least it wasn’t obviously illegal, unlike many other acts by the administration - so, fair play.

Clinton’s maybe not saying the darndest thing, but sort of saying the darndest thing in refusing to testify in front of Congress about Epstein.
I get why they’re refusing where they’re being pushed to testify, but Trump isn’t and has refused in the past on other topics. On the other hand, it’s disappointing where they aren’t being fully forthcoming.

Gavin Newsom only gets the polls because of name recognition from trolling Trump. It sucks that people care about that more than any policy issue.
