I am down with enforcing laws. But then again, I also think that bribery laws should be enforced.
I think laws requiring compliance with court orders should be enforced.
I donât know if Trump spoke with Putin before being elected. There was a single anonymous source who claimed that Trump had 7 calls with Putin before being elected. If he did actually negotiate things with Putin, then absolutely, he should be prosecuted under the Logan Act.
I also agree that people should be held accountable for bribery, and should comply with court orders. But this is the thread for Democrats, so I wouldnât post it here.
The Logan Act is a federal law that criminalizes unauthorized citizensâ negotiations with foreign governments having disputes with the US.
I assume Crow had discussion with European allies. What is the dispute other than they have been ripping us off economically.
James Carville says he did the math. Unfortunately he doesnât know the difference between a decimal number and a percent.
Looks like he was trying to divide 6 million by 41 billion (instead of 41 billion divided by 6 trillion). A very good innumeracy candidate.

(her very existence is a perpetual darndest thing, so anything about the self-proclaimed âsupermayorâ [who belongs in superprison] could go here)
First time I have felt moved to post a Democratsâ darndest thing. So much for an effective opposition to Trump. This is so dumb.
Honestly, other than people like Bernie Sanders and AOC, the messaging on the D side has been awful.
And Sanders isnât really a Democrat.
Trump wasnât a Republican. Then he won.
If Sanders had become President, heâd be accepted as a Democrat.
I agree, though as with western parties of the left, the democrats have been much better at side-lining those who spoke against the current orthodoxy of neo-liberalism.
I believe he currently isnât a Democrat, continuing to stand as an independent.
Schumer is basically saying we need to give Trump everything he wants in a CR and hope some GOP folks want to step up sometime in the future.
Schumer is not just doing a book tour now. Heâs selling high priced tickets for you to come buy his book
This post screams cheap actuary. $56.05 isnât a high priced ticket.
For a book tour, it is an infinite % increase over anything I have ever been required to pay.
How many times have you paid that or more for a book tour?
Pay to go to an event? Iâm not sure that Iâd pay to go to one. Itâs not my type of thing. On the other hand some people do like them. I frequently see people paying to go hear Jordan Peterson talk or various evangelists, or Dave Ramsey, etc. Those tickets are usually in the hundreds of dollars. Politicians here often have dinners that costs hundreds to thousands of dollars per ticket.
I considered going to see Obama when he came by on his speaking tour. I balked at the price, I think it was going to cost $150 when I look at tickets. Iâm pretty sure he sold out the arena he was speaking at and it sounds like at least a few thousand people paid between $100 and $325 to hear him speak. A few people paid $10k for meet and greet packages. Redirect Notice
