I was surprised neither HOTEL nor MOTEL were possibilities

Your answers aren’t hidden.

I missed that it has to be a dwelling and was surprised at how easy and how many different possibilities 10/17 had

You are correct!

I’ve never heard of the word for #6. I’ll give it a little more time to see if anyone else can figure it out.

10/17 #6 guess

Alamo… people dwelled there!

Nope.

Here’s the part of the word that you have to change one letter of: MANDE

Oh. Manse

There used to be a brand of maple syrup called Old Manse

Yes!

Apparently it is what you call a house that a Presbyterian minister lives in.

I searched for the brand and all I come up with is pictures of syrup tins from the 1920s. Geez, I’m not that old!

10/18/2021 - SECURITY CODE
I use a six-digit numerical code to get into a website. The code has no fives, and no repeated digits. The third digit is two more than the sixth digit, and the fifth digit is three less than the first digit. The second digit is one less than the fourth digit, and the first digit is one more than the sixth digit. If the sum of all six digits is 28, what is the six-digit code?

In each row, think of the five-letter answer to the clue on the left, then add an O to the letters and rearrange them to make the six-letter answer to the clue on the right. What are the words?
