In other news, Barca and Real Madrid both out of Champions League this year. ARS play Athletico, PSG play BM.
And, his team won!!
The win gave the team from San Sebastian its first trophy since winning the Copa del Rey in 2020. It also meant that its New-Jersey born head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo becomes the first coach from the United States to win a major trophy in one of Europe’s big five leagues.
Wrexham still fighting for a play-off spot, helped by LEI who tied Hull City.

Wrexham on the edge of qualifying for EFL C play-offs.

It was. If you like wide open scoring with no concern about defense, it was that kind of match. Both teams were content to throw guys forward the entire match.
I think there was concern, just no way to stop the scores.
Meanwhile, one EPL team is in the Europa Final. NOT (16th) are ahead in the semi over AVL (comfortably in 5th), and could be the sixth EPL team in the UCL, and other Europa spots are not changed.
Internet says if AVL stay in 5th (not jump LIV for 4th) and win the Europa League, a sixth spot will still go to the EPL, but EPL would not get an extra spot in Europa.
Meanwhile CP (13th) could be a third team in the Europa League, ahead in their semi of the Europa Conference League. Should they win the Europa Conference, that would make it 10 teams in Europe. Out of 20 teams in the EPL.

Not sure when they could play matches, nor why Ligue Un and La Liga move are allowed to move matches (and to when).
A lot of this stems from the second and unnecessary Tournament (EFL Cup) in England. It takes up five midweeks and one weekend for those that reach the Final. Could probably add higher leagues to the FA Cup earlier instead of entering the Third Round Proper in January.
Also, the FA Cup Final is during the season and not after the season.
MCI play 38 matches in the EPL, six FA Cup matches, six EFL Cup matches, and 10 UCL matches. So, 60.
OK, so three EPL teams in three Euro finals.
Champions: ARS have to play arguably the best club team in the world in PSG.
Europa: AVL playing Freiburg on 5/20. Freiburg are playing for Bunde’s fifth spot. BAY’s loss means that La Liga get the extra team next year.
Europa Conference: CP play Rayo Vallecano on 5/27. CPO playing for an extra Europa spot for EPL, being 8 points out of 7th with four matches remaining (game in hand) in the table for now. La Liga could get a 9th team in Europe, maybe.

An interesting setup for the league:
Each team (12) plays the other three times.
Then, the top six play a round-robin, and the bottom six play a round-robin, for the final five matches. Not a refresh of the table, though. Whatever the team has earned so far during the season stays.
Makes those final matches tougher than a random draw, which I assume other leagues do.
