Popeyes is the superior fried chicken.
And here I thought you were on the ball due to the Whopper judgment.

I donāt eat fast food very often. When I do itās usually Chick-Fil-A or McDonalds. I donāt really care for McDās hamburgers, but I like their breakfast stuff. I do like Arbyās, but there arenāt any that are as convenient for me now.
Popeyes is better than KFC, but i havenāt lived within range of one in decades. And in NYC there were some even better fried chicken chains, iirc.
I am not sure if Iāve ever had Popeyes. I think there is one nearby. I should check it out.
Popeyes has really good fried chicken especially the spicy variety.
Itās superior, for sure, although I prefer KFCās mashed potatoes. Canāt go wrong with popeyeās red beans and rice and spicy chicken.
Go try it!
KFC has been just a mouthful of salt for so many years
KFCās potatoes are all right. The best side is the cole slaw. It is pretty much how I define cole slaw: the stuff you can get at KFC. There are other good approximations, but that is the real stuff.
The chicken sandwich at Popeyes drew big crowds because it is pretty good. Itās fast food so donāt get your hopes up too much, but its definitely worth getting in regular or spicy varieties.
Have you had their actual fried chicken? Like the dinner? Itās really good. Also they have some amazing biscuits.
The only better biscuits in fast food are at Hardeeās. Hardeeās is a killer fast food breakfast place and has a very underrated burger IMO. The Frisco Burger at Hardeeās is my favorite fast food burger of all. 1/3 lb patty, sourdough toast, mayo, swiss, tomato, and bacon.
Popeyes is pretty good, and itās a Coke place, so extra points, if one were to force me to rank places.
For burgers, Iām actually a big fan of Meatheads; but a Whopper will do in a pinch.
Steak-n-Shake french fries and vanilla shake is also a good combo, IMO.
I have. The fried chicken is good.
Do tell about this Meatheads place? What region of the country is it in? What style burger do they do?
Midwest (IL is where I live). Fresh meat grilled.
Standard burger has 2 patties. Theyāre not stingy with the veggies. Good BBQ sauce.
Iām a Sonic Drive In fan.
However, they often screw up my order. Itās correct on the ticket, but Iād say 50% of the time, one of the items was done wrong.
I wish there were more Roy Rogers out there.
Is 5 Guys fast food? They they definitely have a better burger.
I donāt like burgers where the patty is so thick and juicy that it creates a gigantic mess.
I assume you mean any really efficient companies and not just restaurants right? The top three that I can think of are Walmart, Amazon, and Toyota. Toyota in particular revolutionized supply chain production and nearly created continuous improvement.
Sonic is pretty good, now that Iām back in the midwest they are easy to find. Some days you just want a chili cheese coney.
5 Guys is good, but I havenāt seen one with a drive-thru. Feels like thatās required to call it fast food. Conversely, Iāve seen Paneras with a drive-thru and I donāt consider Panera fast food. In a similar category, Culverās is good (cheese curds and custard!). It feels like they are a notch above fast food, but they have a drive-thru, so.
5 guys is defiitely good, but I still think a Whopper is better.
