Shocking story out of Utah. Charlie Kirk was reportedly shot in the neck while giving a speech in Utah.
The guy’s an asshat, but still it’s disturbing this happened. Political assassination attempts seem to be increasing rapidly in the US.

He’s extremely arrogant, but as South Park pointed out, he’s a master debater.
Agreed that he’s a complete asshat. Also agreed that it’s disturbing that it happened.
There’s nothing to celebrate here. Either way, it’s likely to be used as further “proof” to crack down on the rights of minorities and “enemies of the state” and we should all be opposed to any attempt by the usual suspects to do that.
They got the shooter. He’s an older white man. Can’t blame it on a minority.
It sucks that he was shot. But that’s the price we pay for having Second Amendment rights, isn’t it?
Hopefully he recovers quickly/has no long lasting physical effects.
It’s a bit unclear how badly hurt he is, though a few high profile people have called it tragic, so I’m wondering if he’s alive or dead.
Assuming he’s alive, I’m curious how it affects his views on gun control.
Wow.
Was just going to post the quote. So I guess he’s sort of alright with being shot or at least thinks it’s worth being shot to protect the 2nd amendment.
The video is pretty horrific. I don’t know anything about gunshot wounds, but that was a lot of blood.
I saw that he’s in critical condition. I assume he’s in surgery now.
Probably the carotid artery was involved. Plus the spine is there. Presumably he had immediate first aid, so that helps. But how much oxygen and blood flow his brain was deprived of will be a big issue as will whether his spine was hit or not.
I’ll go with that.
FoxNews has found a way to blame it on trans people.
Link? I don’t see that on their site.
He was not as lucky as Trump
On the other side, MSNBC said he should’ve expected it, as he said “hateful words” and should have expected “hateful actions” in return.
It was a live on air statement by Jason Chaffetz, not an article.
Thoughts and prayers
Thoughts and prayers. Let’s not talk about how to prevent this kind of thing from happening again, it’s too soon to have those discussions.
To quote Amazon I would classify his departure as a case of unregretted attrition.
