Toby & I played 3 days in the Kansas City regional and took home 43 points playing pair events. There were several 6N contracts during that time but this one took some thought.
2C 2D 3N (25-27) 6N.
I got a heart lead and started ace and king of diamonds and LHO showed out.
Then I went queen of clubs ace of clubs and LHO showed out again!
Now I went ace of spades and a spade. My LHO figured that winning the king would be giving away the contract (he was right) so the queen won in dummy and from here it seemed straightforward.
I played the last two top hearts and RHO came down to Jx Jx in the minors. i played king of clubs and endplayed RHO in clubs and they had to lead to the QT in dummy. +1440 and 91%. I could have also played the diamonds in dummy and gotten a club head into my hand for the same effect.
