oi won the declare-only with a whopping score of 64.58%, by 12.5%. Looks like Steve didn’t start this one.
oops. I thought I would play it this evening
AA wins the regular group challenge with +11.75, by 7.50. oirg wins the declare-only with 58.59%, by 3.12%.
I’ll likely reissue the regular challenge on Monday, and will let AA reissue the group challenge whenever.
Reminder: you may want to play the Country vs Country challenge (32 boards anytime Mon-Wed next week, costs 10 cents BBO). And/or the Mini Survivor or Robot Survivor (both free, but have to start Monday since Survivor format).
If you reissue today, I’ll try to remember to reissue tomorrow.
It’s reissued. I’ll have slightly more time in the next few days since I did not qualify in the 3-day Robot Survivor, while being reasonably satisfied in how I played. Fortunately I still am very likely to have qualified for the 3-day Mini survivor despite a 0% on the last board (my fault rather than CHO’s). Preliminary 52.something person, need 50%.
Looks like I failed to complete (maybe to start) the regular group challenge. That’s can happen when I issue the challenge earlier in the day than usual. I expect them to enter after 9 PM ordinarily.
And :swear: I apparently forgot to play day 3 of the Mini survivor even though I had qualified for it.
I like when they expire in the evening, too, and that’s when I try to start them, but the problem is I usually see it and think about it in the middle of the work day. Works well for playing the challenges in time, but bad for starting the challenge late.
thek won the regular challenge with a score of 18.67, by 3 points. Net score looks like 0, so looks like you didn’t play at all.
md won the declare-only with a score of 63.28, by 6 points. All 5 completed.
I didn’t think I had. Not necessary to check, but if you chose the “See boards” option, you can see how which people played board 1 (and, if you cared though I don’t know why anyone would, you could also go through further boards and see exactly how far someone got. Also how each person did on any particular board.)
Understood. I’ve done that before. But given the rough math showed 0, I figured not worth checking.
Steve & I did quite well and for a change USA was at the top of the leaderboard (by 0.01%)
And if you have platinum points, you should play this free 3-day event
I won $10 but I don’t remember which one it was for.
I keep on wanting to restart the challenge, but then thinking “I like when they start/expire at night, I should do it later” and then not thinking about it later. So I just restarted the declare-only challenge.
My goal is to start it at night on a different day than the regular group challenge. But at this point, too much time has been wasted with me wanting it all.
AA wins the regular challenge with +16.50, by 9.00
I think I didn’t finish my own declare-only challenge. Did you finish it Steve? I’ll initiate another one today.
I think I completed the most recent one you issued. You also finished that one (which started or ended on Nov 11). It hasn’t been reported in this thread. procrastinator won with 60.94%, the only score above 50%.
Thanks. For some reason, I don’t see it in my message history, but all good now.
md wins the declare-only challenge with 56%, by 5%. I plan to reissue tonight…
AA wins the low scoring regular imp challenge with +3.75, by 0.75. Will issue sometime soon, most likely Sunday night or Monday night, also most likely at least one night after the next watchpoint challenge starts.
Also, I won the declare-only with 58.59%, the only score over 50%.
Thought I was going down on a spade lead and the ace of clubs play by me at trick 2 here. But when the king of diamonds popped out later I was able to play my cards so that the bot was down to QTx of clubs and was forced to ruff and lead away from the QT. Whew!
Thursday I’m off for five days of bridge at the Las Vegas NABC, still need 50 platinum points.
thek wins the declare-only with 61.72% by over 9%. Reissued. Note it ends just after midnight ET, so don’t be fooled by the date.
