oh come on! it was kinda boring around here.
It’s definitely sucked having everything shut down. But she is in an art program. They said early on: we are an art school, we can’t go 100% virtual. They figured it out and she’s been both in-class and at home and has been able to socialize outdoors and in small school-related groups.
Next year will definitely be better. If she stays in this program, she will have 3 more years and in general she prefers London to home. She’s getting good marks and there seems to be a market for her major so … can’t ask for more than that.
How do we know this is the real PM? You said “offspring” and not “progeny,” so I am skeptical.
She is almost 2 years old now.
Offspring is the new qualifier. She is going off to reception next year in October.
With a bit of luck we should have her vaccinated by then (seems 2 year olds will be able to get the Pfizer vaccine in early 2022).
Hmmm, I wonder if any of the full mods saved off the email / IP data from AO?
Mod1 reached out to me using my personal email, but that was when Shadow AO was still a thing.
If not, we could quiz Poly on obscure stuff he mentioned on AO that others might have forgotten.
guys, i have a confession, i’m not the real ao fan. she died in a horrible accident and you’re stuck with me now
Not buying it!
yap!
I haven’t even looked at the new AO.
It looks fairly silly based on google search.
Terrible business decision most likely as it will kill traffic.

BTW, how do you strike-out text on this site?

Without the spaces.
That sounds like effort.
Wilfrid Laurier is your rival school?
Had no idea this was the case vis-a-vis Waterloo
Most folks I knew ended up going to Queens (very popular), UBC, and UofT. Waterloo was not super popular in the 90s.
Just came back from late lunch in Cobham (very wealthy area of Surrey here in the UK).
Another pair of older ladies complimented our daughter for being so gorgeous.
My wife was so happy
I always feel a bit weird when people give out these kinds of compliments.
One thing I have noticed because of the Pandemic is that people show a LOT more deference to little children. It’s like they see them as the best hope for the future, given they are not affected by Covid-19 like most adults are.
“Rival” is a strong word here.
More like high school rivalry. I only mention it because my one kid goes there, so they get the brunt of some of the dad jokes.
It’s actually a great school. I went to one kid’s grad at UWaterloo and it was a gym full of thousands of people, I could hardly see my kid. Went to the other kid’s grad at Laurier and it was in a theatre with hundreds and clearly most people knew each other, kids were hollering when people they knew went up on stage, etc. Met some of my kid’s profs afterwards, stuff like that. Much more personal at Laurier.
20 yo graduates today.
Magna cum laude.
Honors program.
B.S. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
B.A. Chemistry
Is this for a degree in geology that you forgot to list?
Congratulations on your college grad!
I lava it.
