I only eat there a couple times a year so I haven’t noticed any shrinkflation yet, but sad.
I am somehow now on a mailing list for EMTs and ambulance drivers and I can’t seem to get off it. Apparently, I need to get my annual CPEs done ASAP.
Are you able to start a reply-all-a-palooza? …for our own amusement .
The honey walnut is a little sweet for me to eat a lot of it but it’s amazing stuff.
My husband tried to call the principal to set up a meeting, and the school receptionist told him she had no idea what his schedule was like or when he could meet with him. So my husband told her he would be coming by the school tomorrow and waiting until he was free.
We also found out that the exchange with the sub had my son crying as he tried to defend himself. He was really scared and not understanding why he would have to go to the principal’s office because of something that he has no control over.
Dammit I’m just so MAD and even more so hurt for him.
My husband made the principal cry!
Mr. NA needs to sign up for GoA.
Yes, it is good to hear a different perspective from the household.
man or woman?
The principal is a man.
It’s an election year, so do you wanna see more chikkinz in every pot ETA: or on every kownter???

Sometimes he lurks.
I met with my insurance agent yesterday. She thought I was an underwriter, so I reminded her I was an actuarian. Le sigh…
Just got a review from an AirB&B host that we were the messiest guests they’ve ever had. We:
A) Left two dirty cups, I messaged them afterward when realizing it and said sorry, I remembered after we’d left
B) Left one “dirty” bowl of freshly-picked blueberries in the fridge for them, which I now wish we hadn’t left for them
C) We ran the dishwasher, but a baking sheet didn’t wash clean and they had to hand-wash it. I would have hand-washed it if I thought their dishwasher couldn’t handle it, or would have used tinfoil on the sheet if it was offered, but only a baking sheet was offered.
D) We questioned if we could wear shoes in the house while carrying things in and out as there were no instructions, decided it was okay to wear them at least in the main entrance area of the home, and otherwise did not wear shoes in the house. Their carpet was ratty from at least the 90s if not 70s and they had shoes in “indoor” areas, so we assumed it was fine. Apparently it was not fine but this was not in their instructions.
Every other review I have is glowing. It’s not worth me going into complaints about the location. It was fine but I would never have chosen it again even before this.
You can respond to their review if you look in your profile.
We had to do that twice during the pandemic because some hosts lost their minds about cleaning.
Effectively, they had issues finding cleaners during the pandemic so they went crazy over any minor issue. My response was basically “why do we pay you a cleaning fee then?” (These were both expensive places at £300+/night so it was not like they weren’t making money already).
Can’t tell from your post but did they charge you a cleaning fee?
If you can amend your review, you could say that their dishwasher doesn’t work properly.
Not sure there is a way to amend the review. I had negatives to say about the place, but as most of them were preferences or minor annoyances, like one bedroom’s only door opening out into another bedroom, I thought it wasn’t worth dragging somebody through the mud.
There was an up-front $100 cleaning fee, which seems worth their time to vacuum, wash 3 dishes, and whatever normal linen cleaning and such they hopefully do.
And the way AirB&B works, you cannot see a review until after you’ve posted yours. Perhaps I’ll be more honest in the future. In the past, the worst things I’ve noted are along the lines of “The A/C didn’t work great but at least kept it down to 80 on an admittedly very hot weekend” and then I continue on to a couple of nice things.
Yes. But you can respond to the hosts review of you as a guest.
This used to be the case back in 2020/2021 (not sure if the latest updates have changed this)
So basically:
You write review
They write review
You can then only see their review when you finish yours.
But then you can respond to their review under your profile as they are reviewing you as a guest.
