I just finished prepping supper for tomorrow. Greek lemon chicken. I have cuts all over my hands from working outside today. Those two do not make a good combination.

I hear a chirping in the hallway, so I go check the smoke detector. Battery’s fine, so I go about my business, but the *****in’ chirping starts again. Turns out it was the CO detector instead. :man_facepalming:

Allergies.

Every time I think they’re over for the season and I quit meds, they come roaring back.

Amazon will not let you pay for a purchase using 2 credit cards.

Why would I need to spread across 2 credit cards? Because sometimes you buy random shite that has a rebate and the rebate comes not in check form but in the form of a Visa debit card. So I now own a $100 Visa debit card.

I’d like to apply the $100 to something that I can buy on Amazon, and then pay the difference with another card. I can’t do that, so now my best option is to juggle options that cost around $99.75 and let the odd change just be wasted.

I think that I could buy an amazon gift card. They WILL let me split the cost on a AMZN GC and a credit card, but I hate to deal with the extra step.

This was going to be my suggestion

But seriously (or, actually, attempting at being even more humorously) imo, it’s a pretty easy process to buy a gc and immediately apply it to your account and then use those funds towards partially funding your extravagant lifestyle.

I had to deal with that over the weekend. I had a $300 visa card to use. I wanted to buy something that was $310, and with tax pushed it up to 330.52.

I added the Visa card as a new CC. Nope, can’'t just buy Amazon credits with that, I think it is an “unauthorized use” or some dumb shit.

So I used my normal CC to buy $31 in amazon points, which I could then apply to my next purchase. That plus the Visa GC went through.

I bought Amazon credits with a Visa gift card. It was probably, but for sure at least, for $100. There must be some sort of dollar cap on what they’ll allow. Or maybe I had to make sure it was registered first so my name and address were associated with the card before they’d allow it? That kind of rings a bell. It was a few years ago, though.

The reason it was not allowed wasn’t clear and I never looked into it since the other approach worked. It woud feel better to just convert the GC to credits if they let you.

I’ve been sneezing all morning. Just now the little news alert on my computer states “High Pollen‼️“

P.s. I’m annoyed at the sneezing and high pollen. The news alert is just a kick in the sinuses

I went to Panda Express. It’s not the biggest regret of my life, but I still need to make better choices.

Orange chicken, I hope? Nothing else is worth eating.

My son had a sub for homeroom and she told him that if he didn’t stop ticing then she’d send him to the principal’s office. Fortunately another kid vouched for him and she dropped it, I guess she chose to believe it. I’m so angry.

I’ve never been a fan. It always looks enticing but never meets my expectations.

  • 2 x Fried Rice
  • 1 x Honey Walnut Shrimp
  • 1 x Honey Sesame Chicken Breast
  • 1 x SweetFire Chicken Breast

The two chicken entrees melded together such that I completely forgot that there were two of them.

The shrimp are really the only thing I like there.

I still have a little box of fried rice. Stop by my desk if you’d like it.

I was all excited years ago when I discovered that my daughter like Panda. A fast food involving some vegetables that she would eat, albeit with a ton of sugar! But it was only on the 2nd or 3rd time there that she discovered orange chicken and that you can completely avoid vegetables there, too.

I’m a weirdo, I almost never order the orange chicken. I think I’ve had most things on the Panda menu and for fast cheap food it’s not bad. But I have noticed their serving portions on the entree seem to have gone through some shrinkflation over the past year or so.
