Annoyed Thoughts

Hopefully it’s just noise and not signal.

Happened to me this week as well! I hope yours is short-lived.

Sbux started out comfy, but is now getting a smidge chilly.

They were playing 70s AM easy listening when I first got here.

I’ve been counting calories and while I did eat a little more than usual yesterday, not enough to gain two pounds even in extra food weight! But I’m at a point in my cycle where some weight fluctuation wouldn’t be out of the norm, so I’ll chalk it up to that.

BPPV hit me again. I seem most prone to getting it on my right side. A few rounds of Epley maneuvers fixes it, fortunately.

I got bit by a wheel bug two weeks ago, which was INSANELY painful when it happened then for a bit after. About five days ago the site turned into a hard bump under the skin, and now it’s constantly itchy. There’s nothing under the skin to dig out, so I just need to wait for the thing to heal. But it’s on a much used part of my thumb, so it’s very annoying.

Never heard of wheel bugs so I looked it up. Scary looking critter, but I guess they eat other pests. Hope the bite feels better soon.

The guy at the deli counter slicing lunch meat is super slow.

Maybe it’s actually an insignificant signal and he just wants to spend more time with your meat.

He did go get fresh meat from the meat locker for me.

making appointments is always dreadful for me.

dentist (had to switch providers) today told me the next available appointment is 7 or 8 months out. OK. I took it and will now spend time looking for another dentist who might see me sooner.

at least it isn’t dermatologist or whatever other specialists are impossible to see.

Maybe JFG asked for a pound of hard salami.

I switched dentists a few years ago. I had pain for months, bad enough to be distracting. Spent more than a couple weekends on the couch in pain. They’d fix something, then a week or two later, back or worse.
I finally called them on a Friday afternoon and said ‘I’m done. I’m coming in, I want this solved if that means pulling the tooth.’. The receptionist? Yeah, nobody can see me til Monday.
I was pushing angry, they’re going to leave me in pain again over the weekend? Fine. Booked an appointment at the dentist the next town over. Walked into their foyer and the phone rings. It’s the first dentist, they can take me now. Sorry, too late.

Do y’all get spam emails purportedly from yourselves?

Like, say my name is Sally Smith.

I’ll look in my inbox and have three emails from “Sally Smith”.

One is going to get me discount Viagra, one is for a reverse mortgage, one is “1 simple trick to improve your memory”.

All the freaking time. It’s more annoying than regular spam, which is already pretty annoying.

Well, spammers don’t want to trick the people who are smart, they want to trick the ones who are unintelligent enough to fall for the whole scam and be milked as much as possible. Maybe it’s intentional.

i don’t think spammers are thinking that far ahead.

So those emails from me in the future aren’t really from me?

Hmmm… maybe???

I think it may be more difficult to set up a rule to junk emails from yourself as you may cc or bcc yourself, maybe from a different account and don’t want to trash those. The rule would have to include all of your email accounts as the sender.
