Annoyed Thoughts

Sure it’s not a detached retina? That’s a medical emergency. My BIL had it and they told him to get to emergency quick.

it went away in like 15 minutes. i don’t know what to call it. but i could see the light outline with 2 eyes open, either 1 eye open, or 0 eyes open

There was a wasp on the sbux door handle: little ******er stung me!!! Waaaah. :face_with_head_bandage:

Had that happen a couple times recently. Both times I had been outside, and it was sunny, and I think I caught a sun reflection off something, like a window or car. I freaked out the first time and just as I was about to get in the car to get checked out, it went away.

Second time, I was driving in the middle of nowhere, and well, not too much to do other than keep driving and “see” what happens.

Ocular migraine?

maybe? but without any other symptom beyond the light outline of something. no ache, dizzy, pain, nausea, fatigue, etc.

I posted a specific question in a FB group. It was on topic for the group, and the post was approved by an admin. Out of 8 replies, only one actually answered the question. The others gave irrelevant information, an incomplete answer, reiterated information I already acknowledged in the OP, or implied I was foolish to even ask. So that was fun.

Related annoyed thought: non-specific food labeling. Approximately 1% of the population has celiac disease. I don’t mind reading labels, but damn it, put the information on there instead of making me search websites, email, or call to find out if the “maybe so, maybe no” ingredients like yeast extract, natural flavors, or “spices” are derived from gluten containing grains.

That’d be my guess. The lack of pain is nice, but the same underlying cause (vasodilation in certain regions of the brain) might be at the root. Visual field disturbance that remains with eyes closed, isn’t affected when you rub your eyes point to something beyond the eye. Ianad, of course.

You’re describing most of my ocular migraines.

Sometimes I feel a little hungover after. But no pain during.

I have cold sores. I take Valtrex daily to prevent them. I use an online service, Ro, to prescribe and fill it for me.

Ro sent me a notification yesterday that it was time to renew my prescription, along with a link. I updated my information and it was approved quickly. I was charged $285 for a year of Valtrex.

Today I get an email from Ro asking why I was attempting to refill early, and without additional information they’d need to hold the prescription at the pharmacy.

I responded with, this seems to be an issue on your end that needs fixed. I have enough medication to get me through the end of the year, fill it now or hold it, I’m fine with either, but this whole situation is annoying. Also why did you take my $285 before confirming you could actually fill it??

It was 102° here today. It’s 9:45PM and still 90°, oof. We have a cold front and rain coming, perhaps this is the last nasty heat wave of the year.
