I may try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers myself tomorrow. ![]()
gawd damn people are stupid. I just listed a ton of stuff on marketplace. So many people peppering me with questions, all that are clearly answered in the ad. Where is it? In the ad. What colour? In the ad. Is it available? In the ad.
I don’t even respond. I used to delete the chats but now I leave the group so they get notified I booted them lol.
I put in the ads, it’s available, I’ll pull the listing when sold so I don’t respond to ‘is it available’.
No kidding, 75% of responses are ‘is it available’.
I’m going to start responding ‘no’ lol. See what they say.
My old laptop won’t recognize my new bluetooth headphones, so I am using old wired earbuds like a primitive savage.
three questions from a user, every one answered in the ad. then they hit me with ‘will you deliver’.
blocked.
Facebook Marketplace is for sell ers.
Years ago I was giving a bunch of crap away. I took about eight pics from various angles, and made a list. Back then I listed my phone number. A woman calls me, asks if I have five gallons of a neutral paint. No, everything I have is listed and in the pics. She is finishing her basement, do I have any interior doors? No, see the pics and the list, that’s it. Carpet? Ma’am, I’ve been very clear here.
I already know this one. Then you get the abusive responses.
At a live draft.

I sell this crap and then treat that as my money to pay for fishing with nerds.
I mean, it’s all the same bucket, but that’s the justification.
I also feel better about spending money on hobbies when some of it is funded by selling some crap on FB marketplace.
Of course, I am not accumulating 1000s in free crap from Amazon to sell, so its more selling a couple hundred bucks worth of stuff to turn around and spend a grand on something else.
yeah I spent a day at this yesterday. I’m caught up, bit not really interested in doing much of that.
Maybe I’ll start being a bit more surgical in what I order. But it’s tough. $300 projector for free…Do I want it or let it pass?
I do not feel the greatest today. Too busy to call off. Guess I will WFH and power through.
Of those, 90% are probably bots.
Outlook hasn’t been sending or receiving emails since 10 AM. Claude hasn’t been coding effectively since around the same time. Coincidence? Yes. Annoying? Also yes.
damn my spouse does some stupid tech stuff sometimes. Just cost me 80 bucks.
Called a local repair shop to come out and look at the fridge. out comes a fellow, wants me to sign some stuff. except it’s a repair shop out of Toronto. an aggregator, I see that on the invoice. my spouse just googled it and started clicking. my guess, the aggregator feeds off deception. anyway, I sent the guy packing (and also I didn’t like his explanation) but it’s still going to cost me 80 for the service call.
Is this one of those places that looks like it’s local but isn’t? They have a phone number and address listed on Google but it’s fake? I assume that’s what you mean by ‘aggregator.’ Those are the freaking worst, they just collect you as a referral and then charge the real company $75 or whatever for the lead. Yeah, I don’t need help finding an appliance shop, thanks. They are just running up costs without adding any value.
Is it a scam like this? -
i am seeing flashing outline of something in my field of vision. even with eyes closed. it will pass but it is annoying
Not as worrisome as a curtain coming down. If you ever see that, get to the ophthalamological hospital stat.
