I know this is the annoyed thoughts thread, but still, lol.
Had to sneeze at 2:30 a.m., then I had to go #1. Just did the Wordle too and now charging my phone. ![]()
Costco was insane today.
Lol, it was soo cold here (comparatively) Costco was almost empty first thing this morning.
9:00-9:30 was acceptable this morning. Gotta get in before the gold star stampede.
The schedule is tight enough between the Scotties and the Olympics that Team Homan is not able to compete in the Scotties.
Mildly annoying, the battery in my wife’s car died, it was from Feb 2022, four years isn’t the worst run but it’s not exactly stellar.
I’m just over 4 years on one of mine and coming up on 8 (factory batter) on the other.
Batteries and tires are on my list for the year. Should probably get the tires ordered here soon.
not stellar indeed. is there something that drains it? like a light left on or something that charges when it isn’t running? i find out I need a new one when the old one fails. once i hit that cycle, i need to address it before winter. our winters are cold
I am pretty sure it was a cheap battery from Walmart, maybe four years is what you get with those. The replacement battery is one of the glass mat guys that I’m told will last longer, but it was $260. It had better last for that much money!
Just replaced a glass mat (8 years) with another - $315 all in (including roadside service)
Daughter’s needed a jump - luckily they said it is good after the recharge - no idea what type, only 2 years old.
Oh, I don’t think I posted it here… what was REALLY annoying was my Vespa battery dying after a mere two years. I kept it charged in winter, no reason it should have failed. Thankfully they are cheaper, I think the AGM replacement was $70 or $80.
Tell me you’re not cruising in this weather!
Have been dealing with some tummy troubles the last week or so. Took the day off today (for that, plus mental health, plus my lack of meetings actually making it all possible).
Haha, no. I replaced the battery last year, I think mid-summer. It had started cranking slowly, I tried charging it, just got worse and worse.

Cheeky south of the equator meme goes here.
I have flat feet and pronate, so I need support in my athletic shoes. I feel like support athletic shoes are becoming increasingly chunky and giving senior citizen mall walker vibes.
My wife has similar shoes that she really likes. She isn’t the most coordinated person and says they feel more stable for her. For years I wore shoes with little to no cushion, but I’ve started migrating your way, I really like the Brooks shoes.
Filled out our semi-annual engagement survey. Current motivation: zero. Confidence in my leadership: zero. I think I’m gonna go take a walk or something, I’m tired of explaining the nuts and bolts to my manager, I don’t know how she got this job, or why she won’t read the documentation describing how things work, I’ve suggested it several times.
