Annoyed Thoughts: archive 1

This. I wasn’t going to say anything but I had a moment of weakness as the zombie AO was collapsing for the final time.

Nah not weakness. Having a kid is neat. I like mine at least.

Having part time kids is even better, imo.

Kid is not a result of weakness from the AO collapsing. Information released was.

It annoys me that almost all new cars are basically only available in black, white, or grey, whatever model your interested in. You can get a freakin’ iMac in any jelly bean color you want, but cars are only available in any drab colors you can find in “It’s a Wonderful Life”

From a video I took during my first test drive:

“Which family friendly vehicle should I pic…”

“…ooooOOooh”

Every vehicle in the background being white, black, or grey.

Y’know what grinds my gears? Car engineers have had a 100+ years to do something decent, and haven’t.

that’s a dodge ram dashboard. On the far right there’s a dark strip. On the bottom of that strip is just a hole. Just…a hole.
You know why it’s there? Because on the left side in that spot is where the light switch is. They likely had a committee of people deciding what to put in that spot, and they came up with ‘nothing’.

“Can’t live with ‘em
Cant’ live without 'em.

VENTS!”

Exactly!

And I’ve had this issue before; not just this one time.

It’s an app on my phone. I don’t think I could have multiple windows open if I wanted to.

Yes!!!

My car was not available in my preferred color. But get this… the LOWER trims come in that color. But the one that I bought, the very top trim / most expensive vehicle* this manufacturer makes has limited color options.

That makes NO sense.

If anything, you’d think there would be some “exclusive” color that would only be available in the top trim or maybe some specialty trim (like that one car that has the “Eddie Bauer edition”) that’s near the top. But to have a color available in the basic trim but not the top is dumb. If I’m shelling out for the top trim I should be able to select whatever color I want that’s in your palette.

*Actually that might be wrong… they might make a monster SUV that’s more expensive. But it’s one of the most expensive vehicles they make anyway.

After my comment in the “[tan] comic strips that remind you of another GoA poster (or actuary (or actuarial student))” thread, I feel like I said “Beetlejuice” three times.

Makes the riff-raff easier to distinguish

Sorry, not accusing you in particular.

Unrelated, you can have multiple windows and tabs open on your phone.

Well the riff-raff could drive the same color vehicle as mine, but they have more color choices. I guess if I see a car in my preferred color then I know it’s the low trim.

But who cares?

I didn’t buy the top trim because I’m a snob who wants to differentiate from the riff-raff. I bought it because this is the car I’ll be having hot flashes in and I wanted the ventilated seats.

But it seems like if I’m shelling out top dollar for the thing, I should be able to get ventilated seats AND the color I want. I guess that’s asking too much. :woman_shrugging:

On an app?

I’m not on Costco’s mobile website. I’m using their app. I don’t think you can have multiple iterations of the app open at the same time.

I suddenly had a big time craving for strawberry pie.

I’m annoyed that I don’t know where I could get one. I certainly don’t want to make one either, though, I do have a rather easy-recipe for it.
I’m also annoyed that, since I’m on a restricted diet right now, I shouldn’t eat one.

maybe not an app, but windows for sure.

I don’t think I’ve ever had strawberry pie. I’ve made strawberry rhubarb. But just strawberry? I feel like you’d have to find excellent strawberries to carry a pie.

My go to diner has a strawberry pie!!! :yum:
