Uh, I was talking about the washer.

Do you mean “spin”?

My washer occasionally gives up trying to balance out loads that have very few large bulky items. The result is the final spin never happens and the items are quite soaked. Usually another spin cycle fixes it.

It’s a front loader…i think it’s either trying to evenly distribute things around the drum, or it has some internal weights than help create a balance (or both?). When it does spin, it creates little if any vibration.

Sure, that’s the term.

My old machine didn’t have a “spin only” option, so I had to select “rinse” to get it to go through the spin cycle again. It would not add much new water, most of the cycle was the spin part.

I chose the calendar month with two periods in it to give up sugar.

I thought I had a nice piece of sirloin tip to make a pot roast, but there was a big ribbon of hard fat in the middle that the grocer hid. Dirty ******ers!!! :unamused:

Since I already paid for it, I cut if out and rendered it down in the roasting pan to sear the meat and sweat the veggies. I am still disappoint. Oh so very disappoint…

And the news scroll on TV tells me Mickey D’s is bringing back the McRib to Canada.

Was it so large you don’t have enough meat left, or are you just cranky that they sold you so much fat at sirloin prices?

Took an Uber home tonight because I had been drinking. The driver was frequently coughing and sounded like he was having difficulty breathing. At least he had the window cracked despite it being cold outside.

This is why i still carry an N95 mask with me when I’m out and about.

A student’s cologne smells kind of like grandma perfume. :face_vomiting:

That happened to me once in December when I booked an airport transfer.

Had to use my hat to breathe into :frowning:

Since then I bring my N95 in my bag.

Hadn’t cleaned my keyboard in a while, ick. Not 100% clean but I think I got 92% of the crud out of there. I don’t eat at my desk very often at all, I guess it could be worse.

Currently 7 days late on my medication, but after 2 additional calls to the pharmacy and prescription assistance program finally it’s in the mail for tomorrow - unpaid for. Making it around 12 calls and 5 hours to get the meds.

I’m currently saddled with a $3500 bill for it that I mostly shouldn’t have to pay, once I call again tomorrow.

Apparently the assistance program has “internal system issues” and is refusing to process until allegedly tomorrow. With luck, I will get my every-8-weeks shot in me 8 days late and don’t have to pay the full $3500.

Already preemptively ordered 14 doses of hydrocortisone enemas, anticipating that my colitis might flare from the late meds. Thankfully my prescription had a refill on it for no reason, so didn’t even have to contact the doctor.

It’s ridiculous that there isn’t a way to get you the medication on schedule while they figure out whatever needs figuring out on their end. Ugh.

Hopefully once I get this sorted out it’ll be no problem, as it generally is not. We just switched insurances at the same time that the new insurance was switching specialty pharmacies, and there was a large clusterfuck of mistakes.

The good news is that my $3500 medicine is entirely put against my max OOP (less a $5 copay). It’s counted as reimbursement for what I paid. If things work as they should, after tomorrow I’ll have hit my max OOP, and my future medicine (as well as therapy) will be free.

At least the pharmacy was willing to release the meds, but one way or another the $3500 must be paid. Hoping everything works out. It probably will. Just means more calls tomorrow.
