i just know that with my current now deceased frames, they were too tight by my ears at first, but they loosened them slightly. hopefully loosening them is an option if that happens again. they said my current frames and the new ones are the same size on the head part. newer one is smaller on the nose part, so it surprises me that this part seems okay as i have a giant nose, although, just the part where the glasses sits might not be giant.
I don’t. My plan for the new year when my benefits kick in again was to get a new pair and have two. I’ll probably use the ones I’m getting today as my backup pair and also get a new pair in 2023.
my last pair of glasses also were murdered by my stepping on them. i’m not good with things. those i didn’t care as much as i was ready for a new glasses look and those were really old. the ones I just murdered i bought in April 2021 and i still liked them a lot and my vision hasn’t changed in that time, so I was sad.
That article agrees with what I wrote. Carriers will not allow consumers to mail alcohol between states. Their “workaround” is to contact a retailer in the state you want to ship to that carries the same product and buy it there. That does not apply here.
For plastic frames they can heat them up and bend them. I assume there is a way to bend metal frames in a similar manner but I don’t know.
These are plastic
They might charge a few bucks, but any optometry shop could tweak them to help them fit you better. At least in my neck of the woods they do.
There’s measurements on the inside arm of your glasses. Width, length etc. I use them when I order new glasses so I know that they’ll fit comfortably.
I think that the part that goes over your ears is moldable on all glasses. So even with metal frames you can warm that part up and bend it so they fit better.
I’ll one-up you. I typically had 4. A BA-35 and a BA II Plus, each with a backup.
At least once they expanded the permitted calculators beyond just the BA-35, that is. I did sit for one exam when that was all that was allowed, and it had to have the SOA/CAS/CIA logos on back. I only had one for that exam because they said the exam center would have extras. Once they allowed multiple types of calculators, I didn’t feel I could trust the exam center to have my preferred kind as a backup.
Luxottica.
I had to swap out the battery in my BAII just at home, not in an exam situation: holy fluff, it was a pain in the
!!! I even tell people to swap it out BEFORE an exam and not attempt it during!!! ![]()
I’m blind without my glasses. I always pack an extra pair when i travel, just in case. I had to use it once. Knowing i have it is worth it.
(The extra pair is whatever pair i replaced when i bought my current ones. My prescription doesn’t change very much, and worn frames are way better than no glasses.)
Additionally, if they do see a precancerous polyp when they scope you, they can take it out right there and then. If you get a positive cologuard, you need to schedule a scope ASAP to treat it.
that strategy doesn’t work so well when i stepped on my prior pair to kill them too.
I guess not. I haven’t broken a pair of glasses since i was 12. The ones that broke when i was traveling wore out. I’d been using them a very long time. But i have lots of old pairs lying around.
Last pair of glasses that got ‘broke’, i spent over 500 bucks on. A week later, my dog chewed them imto pieces. I.was very displeased. My spouse thought it was hilarious, the dog doing it and how hangry i.was over it. Why they gotta be like that?
Just got a bill from a medical provider I saw last month, already noted as “overdue” when I received it. They say they have online bill pay. Jump through all the hoops of signing up through their portal to pay the bill. However, to actually pay the bill you need an online bill pay code, which is no where on their bill. They even have a handy picture of where it should be on the bill, but the bill looks nothing like the picture and there is no online bill pay code. Need to actually speak with a human, or mail this already “overdue” bill with a paper check via snail mail.
Someone remind me to never say anything out loud in front of the children.
I mentioned a couple of times to husband that I think we should put 11 in martial arts and I can do it with her. He gave me the “I don’t love it” face and I was too lazy to worry about it. Fast forward to last time the kids were here - 11 punched another kid or something and mom independently decides she should try martial arts.
Me: “Cool we can do it together!”
11: “YEAH!!”
Mom: promptly puts 11 in martial arts for a 2 week trial that somehow started and ended yesterday and made sure 11 was booked to go for a session today (kid’s first night back with us) ensuring I was doubly sure that 11 was already in martial arts and definitely not doing it with me
Thanks again mom for being mom of the century.
Also, we’re paying for it.
Ugh i see dots of light or something in these glasses i think reflecting off of street lights. Its extremely annoying and distracting. Is this because i didn’t get anti reflective coating? They said i couldn’t have any extras if i wanted them immediately. I can’t deal with these dots though.
Gonna call them tomorrow
Breaking news update:
11 wakes up to walk in on husband and me fighting about the only thing we ever fight about - today’s tiff specifically regarding this smooth move to prevent any stepmother/daughter bonding plus husband’s innate inability to prevent ex-wife vile seepage.
I don’t know how she does it, but we fell into this trap face first. I’m clawing somebody’s arms off to get out and it’s not mine.
