That interpretation looks right. I see the date of the pending transaction is the date I checked in, not today.

I think that’s pretty normal / standard operating procedure for hotels. They get the authorization for an amount high enough that it is likely to cover all incidentals so they don’t get screwed if you only had enough to cover the cost of the room and no extras. So I wouldn’t worry about that yet.

Not getting the bill is an annoyance though. I guess lesson learned… ask for both paper and email next time.

The busty, cute, friendly bartender was working during trivia last nite.

But my wife was with me.

Puts a damper on the ogling.

easiest solution is to leave the wife and ogle the bartender.

second-best option is to blind your wife, so she doesn’t notice you looking at other women.

Any insignificant signals from the “busty, cute, friendly” bartender???

Whenever she would get us new beers, she always put mine down first.

Got a new monitor at work. Turn it on. “No signal. D-Sub is connected. Press OK to accept D-Sub connection.”

There is no OK button. :exploding_head:

Spent 20 minutes trying to get the freaking monitor connected to the computer. Why don’t they check this stuff???

On the bright side… my new monitor is HYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUUGE!

Gawd, I remember switching from 15” monitors to 18” monitors and feeling like THAT was huge… back in the olden days when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Yeah, when I upgraded from a 15" or 16" I kept that one and went split screen. The small one was just for emails (I got a LOT of emails at that company) and I felt pretty darn fancy. Now I have dual 24" monitors and don’t know how I survived. Now that I say that, at the time a lot of folks were still dying of dysentery, so.

I had a headache earlier today, so I popped an Advil; now I can finally eat lunch.

I have a single 27” monitor now and it’s so big I don’t feel like I need two. I find two to be a hassle. So I’m pretty happy with my one monster monitor.

Come to think of it, the upgrade from eons ago may have even been 12” to 15”… but I think it was 15” to 18”.

I can really only recall back to the early days of flat panels. The old CRT monitors were pretty damn small, right?

Now you can get a decent 24” monitor for like $150.

I still like two, I know you can ‘tile’ your windows on one big one. Tomato, tomato, I guess. I should try one big 27” or 32” monitor.

By area of screen, yes. By weight or volume, no, they were massive.

I vaguely recall choosing a 15” monitor for my home computer over an 18” monitor because in addition to being cheaper, I also didn’t want to have to deal with lifting the 18” monitor. It was fine at work when IT was doing the lifting, but at home I’d have to lift that thing myself.

I have a single 27" monitor at home, plus the tiny screen from my laptop. wish i got 2 smaller monitors instead, plus the laptop. 27" isn’t enough.

at my office, i have 2 monitors. forget the size, but it’s better than the one.
