Annoyed Thoughts: archive 1

Now my wife is bugging me to take a half day from work because “there’s so much we need to do before we go.”

We are going for three days. I’m planning on packing tomorrow morning.

What needs to be done other than making sure the kids have enough money to eat and/or entertain themselves for a couple of days?

So why are you going?

Can’t make my wife go alone.

I’m dumb, but not stupid.

She planned a trip for you without including you in any of the planning? If that’s how your relationship operates then awesome, but that’s the part that would annoy me.

TIL I’m not the only one that has a term for #5.

If I waited for Mr aj to plan trips I’d still be waiting. Most recently I book a hotel room for Dec 31-Jan 2 and then told him, “Oh yeah we’re going to visit family New Years weekend.

I would actually love it if he would take the initiative on something like this. As long as he gave me a head’s up on when to schedule days off work.

We were talking about it and I didn’t realize she booked a place.

Whenever we go anywhere, I let her take care of the arrangements.

If I go someplace on business, I let the office manager make the arrangements.

Because if it was up to me to make the arrangements, I/we’d never go anywhere. While that is fine with me, it would put a strain on the relationship. I’m a good compromiser (At least I think so), but I can still be annoyed at it…

What do you call it?

The same as you. I just didn’t know other people had any sort of term for it.

“Offsite marital duties.”

And again with the frisky wife pulling you away from studying… :man_facepalming:

Traveling is for suckers.

The book has been sitting on my shelf for a while. I studied for like 3 days and stopped.

I’m a lazy, lazy man.

What’s he planning to do, drive thru at Mickey D’s??? :man_shrugging:

Well at least you get to do 3 and 5. The kids, not so much.

I’m not a big fan of being forced to eat out. Though it’s pretty much a given when away from home and staying in a hotel.

No kids on this trip…

If you get a room with a microwave maybe you can justify eating in because you want to try the wine beer you purchased with food. Maybe take some Diwali leftovers.

I see an Upscale Restuarant in your future!!! :yum:
