Yesterday was ‘No Bra Day’
Wow, “Hey hey mama said the way you move” was right there for the taking.
My mother’s mail carrier will not get out of their truck if there is a vehicle blocking the mailbox.
So, snow, rain, heat, gloom of night, that shit’s no problem. But a blocked box? GTFO!
“Also, I’m going to sit here and write a note and pin THAT on your mailbox, just so you know why your mail wasn’t delivered.”
Reminds me that my parents got a note from the mailman that he would not deliver their mail while a lizard was in the mailbox. Said offending lizard was long gone by the time my parents saw the note.
We just replaced our mailbox and I forgot to buy numbers for the new box
. So for about 3 days we had no numbers on the new mailbox.
Was worried that this would somehow be an excuse to not deliver our mail, but it came anyway.
Postal Employee: “May I help you?”
Kramer: “Yeah, I’d like to cancel my mail.”
Postal Employee: “Certainly. How long would you like us to hold it?”
Kramer: “Oh, no, no. I don’t think you get me. I want out, permanently.”
Newman: “I’ll handle this, Violet. Why don’t you take your three hour break?
Oh, calm down, everyone. No one’s cancelling any mail.”
Kramer: “Oh, yes, I am.”
Newman: “What about your bills?”
Kramer: “The bank can pay 'em.”
Newman: “The bank. What about your cards and letters?”
Kramer: “E-mail, telephones, fax machines. Fedex, telex, telegrams, holograms.”
Where was the note?
Like DTNF posted outside the mailbox
Maybe the mailman was just on LSD. It happens.
I don’t get it. The mailperson wouldn’t/couldn’t place the mail in the box b/c there was a vehicle blocking it, but he/she could “pin” a not on the box? If that’s the case, why didn’t he/she just put the mail in?
My MS Teams call this aft was just as choppy as my Zoom call the other day. ![]()
You have discovered why I am annoyed and why I posted it here. Good for you!!
When I attempt to clean the smudge marks on my glasses, it just spreads it out further instead of actually cleaning it.
Was taking a walk with a few folks and my dog came along. We all stopped on a bridge to look for any activity in the creek below. I guess my stupid dog got curious at what we were looking at, and decided to hurdle the concrete wall we were looking over. She found nothing but air on the other side of the wall, falling about 15 feet to land fortunately in the creek below. I did some quick thinking and let go of her leash before it had a chance to hang her. It was shocking to everyone, but no injuries other than her pride.
I can see my dog trying something like that. I worry she can slip out of her collar since she has a slender head so I put a harness on her when I take her out.
don't read if you don't want to know something traumatic
One of the worst experiences of my life is coming home after school to find my dog had accidentally hanged herself. She was tied in our backyard with enough length so that she had plenty of space to roam, but not enough length to reach and jump the short (waist high) back fence… She instead jumped the tall front fence. It was a 6 foot fence, not at all expected that she could jump that high.
My pup did have a harness on too. I clip the leash into both harness and collar.
My pup also has a skinny head. You might try a martingale collar, as that works well for her.
It annoys me when authors stick a question mark at the end of “I wonder…” sentences, or “How about…”. They aren’t questions?
(See what I did there?)
The phone rings a little after midnight. Wrong number!!!

How about I don’t annoy you with my question marks. I wonder if you’ll appreciate that.
