Annoyed Thoughts: archive 1

Big fire a few miles up the coast from me. Wind shifted a bit and it’s super smoky outside now. Getting kind of tired of the new normal. This happens pretty much every year lately.

leaking how? if just under the door, put a cake pan under it (or two to cover the span of the door). But if underneath into the flooring, then…call the guy.

my door was leaking, it was the gasket it seemed (it was a mess and had tears in it), i ordered a replacement and installed it myself. still leaks in the same way. I think i posted that annoyance above. I just put the pans under the door now.

It’s underneath. I’ve determined it’s related to the float switch. I’m not sure if it’s the float, or a gasket, or the float switch. I haven’t taken it apart to see how this all works exactly in this thing. I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express is what I’m saying.

My levothyroxine pills are chewable (at least I like them), so I popped two in this morning, started chewing - annnd as it turns out, they were actually my Ambien.

Ambien is decidedly NOT chewable.

I might need one of you to come over and slap me awake in a half hour or so.

Sounds like a job for OddSox.

It took OddSox approximately 24 minutes to read my email on the topic (but who’s counting??) so I needed y’all as backup.

Tiffneez!!! Why u treat meds like candy??? :scream: :scream: :scream:

Yikes!

It took me weeks to convince Express Scripts to pay for my Omeprazole, and i was terrified I’d have a more serious issue with them.

(My boss’s wife bought some for me in India to tide me over. For real.)

My health insurer stopped paying for omeprazole because it’s over the counter. :frowning:

I have very seriously considered figuring out the dark web to order my medicine from India. This one, unfortunately, needs to be administered professionally (or I need to learn how to self-IV, that’s a step too far for me.)

and once they would pay for it, they delivered it…4 days late?

ESI is the worst customer service of anything I’ve ever had to endure as a consumer. maybe cable is worse, but missing a show doesn’t cause symptoms to boil up bc the med isn’t here.

I’m also annoyed that I wasted two Ambien - they only give me 10 at a time.

…probably because addicts do down them like candy.

I don’t even know. The stuff is cheap in India (about the same cost to me as buying through insurance) so I had a decent stash by the time they finally approved the purchase.

I agree that they have the worst customer service of any organization I’ve ever interacted with. I was angry enough that I complained to HR. Probably I wasn’t the only one to complain, because the next year my employer moved to CVS/Caremark. I haven’t had any issues with them. In fact, I’d rate their customer service as pretty good.

Reminds me of the time a neighbor brought over two apple pies after I gave birth. Our big, goofy Weimaraner propped himself up on the counter and helped himself to both. Miss that pup.
