You should request a meeting with the PE teacher and the principal and politely tell them that while your son can’t stop his tics because it’s a medical condition the PE teacher might be able to stop being an asshole.

Although sometimes the parent is the bully. One of Jaspess’s parents apparently didn’t realize that speech impediment is a thing, and just thought that her child was being her “little Dutch boy.”

He has Tourette’s, so it’s not only something he can’t help, it’s protected by the ADA.

I passive aggressively sent the whole 3rd grade team a resource guide for educators on dealing with TS in the classroom.
I’m sure it’s frustrating to deal with. I get frustrated at home, too. And lots of people are simply not educated about it. But, he has a 504, his diagnosis is on file at the school, and it’s supposed to be the school’s job to notify all his teachers of this every year (we always send an introduction email at the beginning of the school year to his homeroom teacher, and ask that they communicate with the others). His homeroom teacher says she did notify all the specials’ teachers of it, and it’s likely she just forgot.

Schedule a meeting with admin and teacher. Your child needs support, not criticism. If I were you, I would need a fair amount of practice to keep my emotions in check during a meeting like that. I’d focus on the meeting result desired is not to shame some at best unthinking lunk at worst ableist asshat but to improve your son’s experience at school.

Jaspess is an intervention specialist, so I don’t play with stuff like that.
I’ve always worshipped the ground that ISes walk on though, because they really are doing God’s work. Only to be rewarded with … not even being seen as a true teacher by their gen-ed colleagues (or basically anyone else in society bc they don’t understand what they do).

Yes I am sympathetic the over worked teachers who have too many kids to watch over all at once. And even if they have been notified of you sons condition, or I would assume at this point in the school year has figured it out, but it is easy to snap when your trying to heard that many cats.

I was watching TV via cable, and went to switch to streaming by turning on the chromecast. Nothing happens, which is odd. I then grab the rarely used TV remote to manually change the HDMI input. Nothing happens, which is also odd. WTF.
First step is always power everything off and reboot. No success. Seemed odd that both remotes would die at the same time, but second step to debugging was replacing batteries in both remotes. Got a partial bingo as the TV remote started working. I use it to set the proper HDMI for the Chromecast, and I see an error message. Maybe 15% of the error message is off the screen, but I gather my Chromecast has crashed. I go through the steps to restart, but it indicates I need a full reset.
Reset my device, restart, many MB of new updates needed, restart again, sign into Google, set up as if new device, sign in to Apple like a new device, we want 2 factor identification with a device that is in another room…I’m writing this as I’m bored waiting to watch my soccer match while all these updates get processed. I’m going to miss the first half.
I used this device in the past week, so it was unexpected to have major technology issues.

Down where Mrs. H. grew up, because she’s there for a week watching her nephew’s kids while he and his wife go to Mexico.
Cell network is down. Internet only. 
So we have to rely on the crappy Internet they get here. Which is at the end of the line, so it gets whatever is left after everyone else in town taps it. Which is whatever is left after everyone in the next town taps it.
I’m supposed to work here Tuesday. I’m sure it will be fine, as usual. And by fine, I mean “56K dial-up might run faster.”

Delta has now replaced American Airlines as my least favorite airline. It’s not that Aa has done anything to improve but delta has proven themselves to suck just as much.

And since I also have the privilege of sitting in the last row (easy acces to the lavatory!!!) I also get to listen to their idle chit chat. Their misuse of the word “literally” is going to drive me figuratively insane.
