Blanche was referred by a judge to the NY state bar for discipline last week, over 1,200 former DOJ employees have signed onto an open letter calling for his nomination to be rejected, and now the NY city bar has come out against his nomination.
None of which will matter b/c current Republicans are spineless.

I hate this type of attack on conservatives b/c it implicitly gives validity to the idea that there is something mockable or wrong with being gay.

Agreed… Even with cases like Lindsay Graham, I don’t love attacks on him related to him having been gay.
Mocking him for being a closeted person who actively harms the LGBTQ community is different than making fun of him for his sexual preferences, though the line gets blurry.
Pete Hegseth is an alcoholic torturer with a Nazi tattoo who has plenty to mock beyond his obsession with muscular, shaven men.

Hoekstra’s comments today on Trump’s role in opening the Gordie Howe bridge need editing given all he did to delay its opening. It would be like Trump taking credit for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
