Well, you have to admit that among the most useless jobs in government, being ethics advisor to Bondi would have to be up there. Why would this administration employ ANY ethics advisors?

Because it’s legally required since Watergate? Not that legality means anything anymore. I expect there will still be someone in that role, but nothing will be investigated.

Over 900 former DOJ lawyers have written an open letter opposing appointing Bove to the court. And over 75 judges have signed onto a similar letter. I’m sure Susan Collins will have concerns as she votes to confirm him. Maybe even strong concerns.

she spent her one Scaramucci of principles (or whatever the similar measure would be) voting against BBB (knowing it would still pass). like how RBG wore her dissent collar for big rulings, Collins has a special string of pearls she clutches only in special cases. I’m not sure this will rise to that level for her.
