Itās real crazy stuff to suggest that there is a need to do a commission for his conspiracies and then try to assure the people that will be scrutinised that there will be forgiveness. This reads like the stuff Hitler said before the night of the long knives when he purged his opponents.
Some of the things he talks about like suggesting Bidenās govt colluded with Brazil to shut down X seems to imply the govt should have gone to bat for Musk and possibly is warning UK. The crypto thing is also really weird. That chap in the caymans defrauded people. What is govt involvement in that?
Then he touts the South Africa truth and reconciliation. A lot of things were not discussed for national security reasons particularly the involvement of USA and Israel in the oppression of the majority. It was part of a separate arrangement that included the surrendering of the nuclear weapons to USA.
Trump did talk about declassifying things on Joe Rogan but it didnāt seem like a witch hunt. So what we now have is threats being made to citizens and allies. And we wonder if Hunter should have been pardoned.
Maybe this battle between the MAGA facists and MAGA plutocrats will come to a head sooner rather than later

Iād bet on the broligarchs over Bannon. Bannon had a lot of juice in the first term as he had the alt right news outlet, but now Musk has the worldās biggest alt right megaphone.

IMO Bannon is mostly washed-up. Iām sure he can still squeeze out some grift, but he doesnāt have a particularly large amount of power and stands to profit Trump less and bring him less praise.
Elon controls a large chunk of mass communication. His ability to create and distribute propaganda is unmatched by anybody except probably Zuckerberg. Trump stands to gain a lot more from Elon.
Only billionaires seem to have influence with Trump. I donāt believe Bannon is in that league.
Itās crazy that his creep behavior is what is seen as a deal-breaker instead of his complete ineptitude and lack of qualifications for the job.

Two members of Congress yesterday called a fellow rep a sex predator because she is trans. But I suspect also partially to desensitize people to calling someone a predator.

If you can convince enough people that the opposing Democrats are clearly all child predators (on the basis of being queer or because they support LGBTQ rights), then thatās a valid defense to pull out when people like Matt Gaetz are accused of being child predators (on the basis of undeniably paying for sex with at least one trafficked child alongside other scarcely adult women).
Why are they so dead-set on Hegseth? Heās a sloppy drunk without any particular skills or power, let alone qualifications.
I assume itās simply because heās easy to control and will do what heās told.
