Good deal, I wish the US had a similar policy.
Fun story, the last time I had this happen to me, British Air paid me to fly my family to London and back.
Wikipedia says it’s a real academic degree in the UK, but an honorary degree that can be granted by groups that don’t have any academic credentials in the US. Each religious group can have its own rules, so maybe some say, “n years of service”.
I thought that Harvard Divinity school offered that as their highest degree, but they have a PhD. I wonder if they used to call it a DD, but changed that because DD isn’t very valuable in the US. It maybe i just misremembered.
