Reminds of me of when Atilla the Hun destroyed the city of Aquileia and most of the survivors found their way to what is now Venice. Some probably took longer to get there than others. I wonder how many more are out there in the wilderness looking for us?
Google actuarial forum. We’re hard to miss!
I’m back, didn’t die lol.
Not yet…:maniacal_laughter:
made me think of my Rabbi. there is a “degree” called Doctor of Divinity, DD. Basically it is granted for a period of service, like 25 years
so the internal joke is DD stands for Didn’t Die
Will let you guys know if I survive
If you have a window seat, make sure your seat belt is buckled up reeeeeeeeaaalll tight!!!

Huh, that’s actually a legitimate academic degree at many colleges.
no idea, maybe automatically granted for 25 ys of practice
Hey, the phone that got sucked out still worked afterwards.
no idea where else to put this, not currently annoyed…
Had flight on Lufthansa transferring in Frankfurt. The whole Frankfurt airport scheduled a strike that day.
Got a refund from my travel agency, but needed to rebook on my own, for quite a bit more.
After we got home i applied to the airport for a refund for my prebooked seat selection. about $150
filled out the form, got a case #,
they asked for banking information
no response or confirmation
sent numerous emails
on line forms
on line help forms
called help line
wrote a physical letter
NOTHING, about a month passed
filled out another form to fully resubmit
got a fairly personalized email, telling they will give me $1,300
can’t tell this part to friends who will yell at me. I told them i was only looking for seat reimbursement, i believe i was made whole on tickets. Will gladly accept it if entitled, but don’t want it if a mistake
waiting on a reply
Europe has different rules/expectations regarding stuff like this, so you may be entitled to that amount whether you were seeking it or not…but wthdik?
Is it exactly €600 per ticket? I agree with numbers guy, this sounds suspiciously like EU 261 compensation.
I survived AMA
