Right. That’s how you lulled me into complacency. Then you pull this lime Skittles and wintergreen crap.
Isn’t California roll fake crab meat? It is like the default lame sushi they give you with any combo
It is sometimes fake crab meat and sometimes real. The place I’ve had California rolls most often uses real crab meat, but I think fake is more common.
The fake crab meat is usually pollock & starch & food coloring. That’s ok, but nowhere near as good as actual crab. I’d probably prefer if they just used straight pollock without trying to make it look like crab.
Smarties are flatter, and taste very different. The Sox family is still very skeptical of my Canadian Smarties despite multiple attempts to convince them they’re good.
In the 5814 household I call that a WIN-situation – more candy for me = that’s a WIN.
Surimi: the hotdog of seafood!
Tuna sushi is the best but no way I’m handing it out on Halloween.
My kids and wife prefer the Krab to the Crab, I prefer the real crab but the imitation isn’t bad. We use the imitation when we make California Rolls at home, cheaper and easier for sure.
It isnt that bad. I just find California rolls to be boring. They are like the default sushi.
Well neither of my parents will eat sushi at all, so the fact that I will even eat a California roll makes me extremely worldly by my family’s standards. Probably due to all the time I spent living in the Northwest.
I realize that it’s basically the tamest, most basic sushi in existence. But it’s tasty (especially when made with real crab).
i’m not sure i’ve had a california roll with real crab, although, not sure i would know it.
I’d never heard the term surimi, although I’ve eaten a bunch of it. I got a laugh from the widipedia article when it mentions that imitation crab sticks have to be called seafood sticks in Britain to avoid false advertising. I don’t see how imitation crab would be false advertising unless you though that imitation crab must be made out of crab.
M and m’s are the same as smarties like Eminem is like Taylor swift.
I finally got my kids to try a California roll. They were surprised that, although they don’t really care for any of the ingredients individually, they quite enjoyed the combination.
White cheddar popcorn is my half reason. I grab the bag as I head to the chair from check-in, to ensure they won’t all be gone by the time I’m done donating.
Important question: What is the singular form of Reese’s Pieces?
I thought 1 was accurate and 4 just seems wrong. But I’ve heard 2 and 3.
Definitely not 2 nor 4. The apostrophe-s indicates possession - the piece of candy is from Reese. It’s Reese’s piece, not Hershey’s piece.
I would vote for 1 but could see the argument for 3.
I think that since they were pieces invented by Reese, the singular should be a Reese’s piece. imo.
