@Seasplash my opponent last night allowed me to play the open dragon. I was so happy. He didn’t know theory and deviated by move 6, so no Yugoslav or anything. I missed one tactic and per the computer messed up the endgame in one spot that he could have equalized, but he instead blundered pretty quickly and I won cleanly. PGN below if you’re interested.
@IPD im playing an IM with the black pieces in your favorite Scandinavian Portuguese variation, and I think I have an advantage. Still not easy but I like my position at the moment.
Been playing the Scandinavian Portuguese OTB occasionally and I’ve had great results with it. White would castle kingside so I would castle queenside, and push my pawns on the kingside.
He sent out the links to the groups via private message, but didnt say who would be in which group..
..unless if he wanted us to do that ourselves?
Idk, would like it to give A a try. Especially since I placed 3rd on the Big Ol Tourney. Really need to prevent players like @MayanActuary doing that knightsac (fell victim to it OTB recently) and it was nothing but pain.
I sent an invite to @J0EBL0W because he finished 2nd in Group D. I think he should join because it’s a good challenge and he earned it. @BruteForce has not responded so not sure if he will play. @al_aki looks good enough for B but not if he will respond on time. JustChillJoe (finished 3rd in D) has not responded so no idea if he wants to participate. Trying to get two people out of these four I just mentioned to join B.
I think this group will have a few more members added, but we’ll see. Still waiting to hear back from some people on either chess dot com or reddit. Even if it stays at only 7, it’s a good number.

If the C group gets larger I’ll create a D group and we can shuffle players around.
Still need 2 players for B group. @LuckyHat might be a good candidate based on their 1500 Lichess rating but haven’t heard from them. @BruteForce usually responds quickly, he might be on vacation.
I can keep pushing the tournaments back a little bit for their starting dates. It’s nice when they all start at the same time, so I think I’ll postpone the filled group A as well if I need to.
