Finally deciding to check your pockets, you note that you have:
- an unlit lamp
- fishing pole
- single rose
- dead branch
That doesn’t sound encouraging. I thought we might have picked up a crowbar somewhere…

Oh, and just in case:
open door
You can see sunlight streaming through the keyhole, but nothing else. You’re no locksmith - it looks like a normal key hole to you!
You try to open the door, but it’s locked.
Go down stairs
Check to see is stairs continuing down are dark
check to see if guard to east is looking at us
You go down to the courtyard of Action Castle. A castle guard stands watch to the east. You steel a quick glance at the guard. He sees you, but doesn’t seem concerned by your presence.
You peek down the stairs leading below ground. It seems very dark down there.
Exits are West, East, Up, and Down.
go east
You walk towards the guard, who is blocking a doorway. He stares at you, and doesn’t move to let you pass.
Say What’s shakin’ good lookin’?
The guard responds “Do you have business at the Castle? If not, then you should leave.”
He starts to give you the evil eye, placing his hand on his sheathed sword.
Ask the guard if he can light your lamp
His angry scowl does not make you think he’s up for helping you with anything right now.
say to the guard:
‘Is this Action Castle? Is the King here today?
For I am a lonely wanderer, who has travelled many hundreds of miles looking for King Action. I remember King Action from when I was a young man but, alas, I am now thirty years and 4, close to my alloted time on this earth and I have lived without King Action for half of that.
My friends feel the same, there is a yearning gap in our lives, which we want to fill with King Action. I am the first of many, and I demand King Action. And you, sir, will provide me, and all my friends, King Action or be prepared to feel my sword.’

Probably should have saved game before saying that. 
I don’t care, I’m a loose cannon, looking for King Action. And if the universe conspires against me because of my desires, then I shall take the consequences like a man. For that is the true heart, and soul, of an adventurer.
Also, all we’ve really done in the 15 hours since the last save is go up some stairs and come back down again.
I hope the guard responds that your life expectancy conditional on having made it to 34 is actually pretty good, even in these dangerous times.
