This sentiment was often expressed 60 years ago. Sad that these old prejudices haven’t gone away.
The fact it is a “Christian” crowd-funding platform makes this even sadder.

I don’t understand the logic as the case is still pending before lower courts. The options are to a) let the administration fire 4,000 people, then have a trial that possibly decides that those firings are illegal, or b) keep those 4,000 people in their jobs while there is a trial as to whether or not they can be fired. If the outcome of the trial differs from the temporary decision, surely a) is a more significant error.
An error with no consequences for those doing the firing.
So, recalculate and analyze.
Note that the people making these decisions do not have the country’s best interests in mind.

Whenever I see these data wipes/deletions coming out of the Musk’s rape of the federal digital infrastructure I assume they stole the data then deleted it. That would be the smart thing to do. Having sole access to these data mines would be extremely profitable. Then I remember he’s using young hacker types to burn it all down…
No, they are stealing it.
Because someone needs to know this information. Like, every farmer in America (and possibly the world). Oh, and futures traders. Cuz you know what’s easier than farming? Knowing in advance before anyone else which crops will fail and which crops will have a surplus.
Because now the default state is, “Do your own weather prediction. Stop making the US Government waste tax dollars for your benefit.”
Downside is that someone needs to know how to use the data for their own benefit. So, perhaps they stole the software as well. And some brilliant minds to interpret it. “Hey, you’re out of a job, hows about yous work with us?”

It’s not like much of the current wealth of the US is directly tied to America’s status in science and technology. Cutting the NSF budget by 55% can’t possibly be a bad thing.

I’ve heard discussion that Trump is killing all Federal funding for environmental research. Also seems like he wants to kill research on the safety of industrial chemicals and energy efficiency.

The sedes on Twix refer to people who loved Francis as “Bergoglists.” 
Trump has chimed in and said that Pope Leo is a big MAGA fan. I don’t know what his supporters will do with that.
