How many teams are looking for a really good blocking WR?

I think this type of player can be gold for an offense looking to improve their running game while still having a passing threat.

def a positive trait, willingness to block

He can also get into opposition’s heads with his smirk.

Some strange picks by the Bears on day 2. I get the Center pick, but not sure how they could go with another TE, which is one of their lowest needs, and a WR project when they desperately need help on the Defensive Line.

All the D linemen were gone at that point. So if you can’t stop them, just score more points instead!

i love the reading of the names. some solid picks by many teams, some head scratchers for sure.

Has anyone ever said “With the eleventy-first pick…”?

Aww, poor billionaires aren’t on paper richer than they thought they were.

The sources who spoke to ESPN said the situation was fluid but added that there are doubts among NFL owners and executives about whether the Seahawks sale – after sports business insiders speculated that it would spark a bidding war and that the franchise would fetch up to $11 billion – will eclipse the $10 billion mark. They said they believe that the team will sell for slightly above $9 billion, which would still be a record price for an NFL team.

Oh, and that old stadium might need to be replaced, to fleece fans into buying new seat licenses.

The Seahawks might also need a new stadium in coming years. While a new venue could open up additional revenue in the long term, the politics and cost could be a fight in the short term.

Yeah, Seattle is not all that happy to be bent over to take it from billionaires AND pay for the privilege.

How old is the current stadium?

25 ish?
It is a no-lose, no-risk business, as long as #muricans keep enjoying watching other people get hurt for a living. Why is a new stadium needed?

No pain, no gain!

This Cardinals finishing schedule is absolutely nuts. 5 of their last 6 games at home… and one road game in the final 7 weeks?! Who comes up with this?

And I guess the Bills are only playing 4 games this year…

Maybe the stadium is being used by others in the earlier weekends.

Reading the overreactions, based on faulty logic, mostly.

Here’s one:

But … the Bears have the hardest schedule in the NFL, based on the 2025 win/loss records of the teams they’ll play in 2026. And while that is certainly not the only indicator of schedule strength, history says it’s definitely not nothing.

Um, OK, show me the history.
Like, “rank the difficulty of 2025 based on the 2024 win/loss, and then rank the difficulty of the 2025 season based on the 2025 win/loss.”
And then do this for several past seasons. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
That should tell us if ranking the difficulty of the 2026 season based on the 2025 win/loss is “any indication.”

Also, the difference between “easiest” (0.429) and “hardest” is about two games in a 17-game schedule. 7.3 wins versus 9.35. Big-ass whoop.

Should also check the actual win/loss records of 2025 based on 2024 win/loss “difficulty.” Should be able to linear-regress that with some confidence, that difficult-scheduled teams would have worse records, and easy-scheduled teams would have better records, but I doubt it.

Ah, yes. Probably the Charlie Kirk Memorial Tour.

It’s easy to say when you’re not in Chicago. A two game swing in a football season is definitely not a big-ass whoop unless your team sucks big time or your team is clearly at the top. Which the Bears aren’t.

NFL seasons are wildly unpredictable, but you could imagine a scenario where a playoff spot comes down to the Bears or Lions. The 3 games they don’t have in common are Bears vs Eagles, Seahawks and Jaguars, and Lions vs Cardinals, Titans and Giants. Seems like a meaningful difference, but we’ll see.
