2025 MLB Baseball Thread

There is a great site for that 2024 MLB Magic Numbers and Clinching Scenarios | Major League Baseball | Playoff Magic | How will your favorite team make the playoffs?

And the answer is 161 for the Dodgers.

Looks like I ninja’d you, but I didn’t. I used a time machine (the edit feature).

That’s OK my site heading still thinks it 2024 even though they are using 2025 data.

I actually watched a bunch of Sox games last year (by watched, i mean i put it on it the background while i do something else). No way I’m paying for the new Chicago Sports Net channel though. Really disappointing they haven’t figured that out yet.

Sounds like our 2023 Fantasy Thread…

The owner of that thread is welcome to update it any time they want… the Commish of the Fantasy League does not have that luxury.

The Cubs should hang in there quite a while longer imo. While they don’t have a great team, the division has no other team that is clearly better.

It looks like they’re even money to win the NL Central. ESPN bet showing White Sox as 100-1 to win AL Central.

MLB Anime: Heroes of the Game (ft. Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, more!)

2025 MLB Anime Hype Video!

I was listening to Chicago sports radio again this morning and heard this: “I’ll be happy if they win 48 or 52 games and in late season you see a couple youngsters stepping up”.

They were talking about the Cubs, right?

Some scattered booing of the Star Spangled Banner at the Jays’ home opener today but the fans should have saved their booing for the Jays’ performance.

Currently on pace to go 162-0

More importantly, their magic number is down to 162.

Aaron Judge earning his salary today. Wow!

I listened to most of the White Sox games today, as I was riding in the car. They called Jonathan Cannon, who started today’s game, “the stopper” because he was involved in the 3 games that ended the 12-, 14-, and 21-game losing streaks last year.

Back on track, btw.

What a start for Judge.

The average column looks to be incorrect, first two dates.
