Does anyone remember the full-year MLB contest? Pick one team per week, can only use a team once…highest win % wins? I think I might try and run that this year, unless I forget come March…

very well, I had a great algorithm for that game
rekrap used to run it as I recall. That one seemed a nightmare to moderate. I had enough trouble just submitting a different team each week.
As I recall you winning several times if I’m not mistaken, I agree your algorithm was terrific!
I figure we could offer the option to submit a full-season list of selections, then the opportunity to revise as the season goes along. Pretty straight-forward, though yeah could be a bit much to moderate….but I’m willing to try!

No…you’re playing with the spread. So if you say LA +100, you win as long as Carolina doesn’t win by 100 or more.

You could miss a week. There was a minimum of games, believe it was something like 150 or 155 so you had to play close to 162 but it could be possible to pick a team every week and end up below 162. And yes, there were partial weeks if submitted late.

Other game for football playoff was to pick a team of QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, TE and K (I think this was lineup) and you got scoring for that team for as long as player was in playoffs so had to choose best player or player on team that might play more games.
You could pick 6 teams plus 100 and very likely go 6-0 but you would be in last place if any other person also went 6-0 as they would have moved the spread less that you.
So yes you can choose to move the line as much as you want. The NFL record for points scored in a game by an NFL team is 73. So if you picked the underdog +73.5 in every game, you’d probably be safe.
I remember considering running a game that combined that game with the NFL reverse survivor where you had to pick a different team each week that went under .500. If you failed twice you were out.
