2025: 34-55 incoming
That said, I wouldnât be sad to see Lamar Jackson get a ring.
But Iâm dating a Broncos fan so I have to officially root for the Broncos in the AFC, now that the Bengals are eliminated.
The worst contract in NFL history keeps getting worse: Browns QB Deshaun Watson ruptured Achilles again, could miss 2025 season after latest surgery?
Remind me to feel sorry for Haslem after he dropped that much money and that many draft picks on on a guy with that type of conduct.
Watson got a lot better than he deserved and the Browns got about what they should have for giving it to him.
He had to be doing rehab ahead of the schedule. Which is dumb. The repair and rehab are pretty established.
Unless they had insurance
This
CLE doesnât seem to be smart enough to do that.
But they did, according to various sources in the interweb.
He might never play in the NFL Football League again.
If he went against the prescribed protocol for recovery, I wonder if the insurer will pay and if not can CLE drop him for conduct determinetal to the team or some nonsense.
LA-MIN game move to Arizona due to fires.
Shouldâve moved it to St. Louis, amirite?
In all seriousness, why not the Rose Bowl or another stadium closer to LA / easier on the fans?
Petco in San Diego is much lower capacity. But surely there are other college stadiums closer than Phoenix?
The wildfire smoke can cover a large area so that health risk is possibly the main consideration rather than being close to a fire?
Iâd imagine the 2 closest choices were Arizona and San Francisco. Both close flights. I donât think any venue is LA was viable due to the fires or they would have done that first, Pasadena is having its own fire so that probably nixed the Rose Bowl. I doubt Petco is setup for football easily on short notice. Could probably be done but maybe not.
also, keep in mind security, emergency and sanitation and other services assisting near the fires. Moving to another state makes sense
In addition to good points already made, smoke was causing problems at the Rams practice facility. By going to AZ they get NFL caliber practice facilities in the deal too.
Ouch. Ironically the his part of the country currently has snow on the ground,
NFL Owners apparently will discuss changing playoff seeding again:
CBS' Jonathan Jones: NFL will 'take another look' at changing playoff format?
I like it the way it is. Teams within divisions play fairly balanced schedules. Teams in other divisions may have very different strengths of schedule. Want a home game or 2? Win your damn division in a fair battle.
Iâd agree with that if the divisions were larger. 4 teams means only 6 of your games are vs the division.
Maybe add this to the innumeracy thread as well. They are still referring to 16 game seasons in the article.
Fans might argue it makes no sense that a theoretical 7-9 division winner should host a 13-3 team, but owners feel differently.
Itâs not just your own division games that make the schedule imbalanced. The other big factor is that each division plays 2 other divisions. Thatâs a potentially huge scheduling difference, as one playoff team could have played the 3 weakest divisions and the other the 3 strongest.
this and an NFL facility that is up to NFL (and NFLPA) standards. thatâs the most important thing. then they get credit for not draining all the security and other resources that can come up with traffic and other problems related to having an 80,000 party event in an area that is literally on fire.
In my binging of fire coverage, I ran across a video that showed that they were using the parking lots around the Rose Bowl for staging of emergency vehicles. The number trucks there was incredible.
