Not sure what they were thinking. Giving away a huge amount of draft capital to get a very small QB and put him behind a horrible line. They’d have been better off trading down that year getting a bunch of talent across the roster and then drafting a QB with a high 1st round pick the next year.
Derek Carr is lighter in the wallet after a $14k fine for a TD celebration after a goal line QB sneak.
Inspired by a Michael Jackson dance, the NFL deemed the dance “sexually suggestive” (i.e. onanistic)
Same old Bears. Once in a while they have a pretty good defense, but their offense always sucks.
Time to start evaluating QB in next year’s draft.
Williams finally threw a TD pass in his 12th quarter of play. They were down by 11 and the TD pass to Rome Odunze (also the first of his career) put them down by 5 late in the game.
They were so busy fighting over ownership of the damn ball on the sideline, that they ignored the obvious nature of the need to play for a 2 pt conversion. So the Bears had to waste a time out, which affected the rest of the game, which they lost by 5.
Chicago: Where QBs go to suck. It’s gotta be in the water or something here.
I mean, have you seen the Chicago river on St Patrick’s Day?
Brandon Aubrey with the 65-yard FG to win the game force overtime get the Cowboys on the board, 7-3. Maybe had a couple more yards of range on it.
No, again, no. O-Line. Make a fucking O-Line. QBs are for selling tickets. O-Lines are for wins.
Oh, and a fucking running game, since it is the Windy City and throwing passes sucks in the wind.
That said, Caleb seems to be a pretty shitty passer.
The O-line is atrocious. It was horrible before, but at least they could run the ball. Now they can’t do anything.
Let’s give Caleb some time. I know many Bears fans expected him to be amazing right away like CJ Stroud, but that isn’t how it usually works.
No, the way it usually works is the Bears get ANOTHER new QB, they invest a few years into him, giving all the fans unfounded hope, the QB proves he sucks, and then the Bears go looking for the next QB savior.
All I am saying is that Caleb Williams has proven he fits the mold, and instead of spending 2024, 2025 and 2026 hoping he will come around (he won’t b/c he isn’t any better than Mitch Trubiskey or Justin Fields), I suggest we already start thinking of drafting a new #1 next year.
This is how the owner gets his money. No way he will stray from that path.
Or, you know, do the smart thing and try to get some talent into the other positions.
The Vikings seem to be doing pretty well with a cast off QB right now. Remind me. Who is starting for the Steelers? How are they doing this year?
Mahomes, Love, and Rogers all came into to teams with talent throughout the roster and sat for a while. The Bears can’t afford to sit anyone. Maybe they should work on the 1st part of that equation…
Should have just stuck with Andy “Red Rifle” Dalton
“She”
Well, she and her 11 children.
Don’t forget that the McCaskeys are the poorest billionaires in the NFL.
my survivor pool (40 people) could crown a champ tonight. Carnage mostly attributed to NE in week 1, MIN in week 2, and carolina week 3. Bengals winning tonight clinches it for our fastest winner ever.
Talk about following the crowd picks. We still have a third of our group left in the survivor thread. Several of us don’t even have a strike yet.
(is your pool 1 miss and out or 2?)
Don’t worry, Jerry. We do, and we hope you stay in charge for 200 years after you finally die.

Wow, fans turning into straight up stalkers.
What bothers me about stuff like this is that “free speech” has become so expansive that you can figuratively [and in some cases, literally] endanger others and there’s no legal recourse because oh, that falls under free speech.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for free speech, but I also think when you pull shit like this, individuals affected should be able to go to court and sue you to legal oblivion.
