Time to spend whatever money they have left (might still be paying off bonds for a while) on schools and roads instead of lining billionaires’ pockets.
I became a fan of Ricky’s after he became a Blue Jay and had the decisive at-bat that led to the Jays’ walk off WS win against the Phillies in 1993. He was a pain in the neck to play against.
I think they got pretty screwed in the whole My. Davis fiasco with the Raiders and might be just a little jaded.

I just got notice from Comcast that NBC Sports Chicago is pulling the plug on all operations and ceasing operations on Monday. Two fewer channels in my cable lineup, and no, they are not discounting the monthly price of cable service to compensate.
In any case, I am sure the White Sox being on that channel all year really wiped them out.

It’s being replaced by Chicago Sports Network which so far is only going to be available on DirectTV and over antenna. I’m sure they’re trying to squeeze as much money out of Comcast as possible, but all of the White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks are terrible right now. Not sure if Hulu+ is worth it for me if they don’t pick it up.

Since the lost to Detroit yesterday clinched Detroit a playoff spot, Detroit has now attained dgaf status, too. Sox win.
Appears we will have a double header tomorrow. Braves probably have to burn Sale and Schwellenbach if needed.
Yes Dback nd Mets win while Braves loses ensure both games have to be played. Team that wins game 1 has no incentive to go all out in game 2 but Dbacks need a sweep to make it in.
Braves will start Schwelly in game 1. Sale will go in game 2 if needed. If Braves win game 1, I imagine the extra guy for the second game will be some minor league cannon fodder.
