Yeah, i was getting really tempted by LV because the Saints were SO BAD on MNF and IND made me sad last week as i chose them over CIN in all leagues.
NYG were pretty damn bad vs ATL too. Almost all their yards were in garbage time.
In a pointless 5th place matchup in a work league, I benched/cut BAL DST right before kickoff in favor of LV.
And in the consolation finals of my other work league, my team that should be way better than it is, is up against BAL.
Whelp…that didn’t last long.
Lamb to IR today.
So, now i need to pick someone for my slot from this list
Shakir (BUF vs NYJ)
Higgins(CIN vs DEN)
Or gamble with Spears (TEN @ JAX).
Just picked up Spears yesterday some RB depth, but he had been putting up some numbers.
1PPR league.
Up until last week I was starting Shakir along with Collins & Lamb, but JSN pushed him to the bench.
I think the answer is Higgins, if he is healthy…
And another option was just added to my roster:
Kimani Vidal (LAC @ NEP)
Gus edwards has been ruled out already.
This is annoying…
Sorry man. Couldn’t have seen this one coming
The New York Giants have scored 130 points at MetLife Stadium in 2024. 45 of them were today.
Should have followed my gut/eyes on this one.
17 point differential on the bench.
Not sure if it will make a difference, since my JSN, Collins and K Williams (all on my team) are the only players that have underperformed on both sides of the matchup.
And he still has Darnald, Jefferson and Gibbs left
I was the favorite in the finals, but my team is shitting the bed. I’m mostly counting on the Daniels+McLaurin stack to save me.
My bench is outscoring my starters and my opponent.
From real nfl league thread.
UPDATE:
-got the 1 seed (and bye) with a win in the final week
-was a 10 point favorite in semi-final, 85% chance to win at many points, but Tyjae Spears (went from 0.5 in the 3rd quarter to >20 points) and Falcons defense (scored 2 TDs) got my opponent 136 points (8 starter league) heading into MNF where I had Jacobs and Packers D chasing 28 points. Other semifinal both scored under 110.
-But it was in the bag by halftime with Jacobs as a monster and Saints O laying an egg.
-10 point favorite in the finals, but opponent was the third powerhouse in the league this year. Jamar Chase, Chase Brown, etc. But this one was never in doubt. I lead by 58 heading into MNF and he has George Kittle.
-Unless Kittle has a beyond historic day, I will clutch up for this key championship before our big 20th year offseason day.
I need Goff + Gibbs to score 30 or less. Possible, but I am definitely the underdog
I needed McLaurin to get 20 yards last night in order to reach a cumulative WR receiving yards bonus…WTF is up with 5 yards? I know ATL put their best guy on him, but was he still injured and being used as a decoy?
I got a combined 3.2 points from McLaurin, Jerome Ford, and Hunter Henry. Oof.
my league title is 0.06 apart. two brothers playing. anything positive for juann jennings inside of the 2min warning will be the difference.
crazy
and the title is decided when Josh Dobbs enters the game for SF and hits the receiver he played in college with - Juann Jennings! 2 receptions/24 yds was plenty to tilt the scale.
both leagues I am in had brother vs brother in the finals
