Congratulations to Carrie’s Carbears for a nearly-perfect week. Only his Bills over Jaguars pick prevented him from FSP immortality. He won the Lovable Losers award: he may guarantee one matchup for the team he picked the least. For CC, he has a four-way tie for his once-picked teams. He chose the Patriots in Week 9, the Cardinals in Week 10, the Buccaneers in Week 13, and the Panthers in Week 18. The default will be to guarantee his Week 18 Panthers over Buccaneers pick. He may reject the default with a different choice by letting me know before TNF’s kickoff.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. He has also bagged another Change one future pick award.
This week…
Seems like our gridiron explorer, @Funemployed, took a ‘Bearish’ detour to ‘Command’ his fate, leaving him with an extra loss! Chicago Washington didn’t quite go as planned!
The Committee on Retroactively Applied Penalties, Oversight, Legalities, and Awards (CRAPOLA) will look into the matter. We expect a decision shortly thereafter.
CRAPOLA investigators have found an over abundance of evidence for precedent for this protest to be upheld.
Therefore, let it be known herewith, hereto, and hereafter the following:
@Mountainhawk will be granted a retroactive Week 2 VALSA since she tied only with imaginary players. @3rookie will beg ranted (which is very similar to being granted) a retroactive Week 3 VALSA since he tied only with an imaginary player. @OutdoormanNowActuary will properly receive the Week 5 VALSA.
Usually, the deadline to declare the VALSA is before TNF’s kickoff. For this week only, all three of you have until the final gun of MNF to declare your VALSA. If undeclared, it will expire worthless, yet harmless.
The Awards Committee sincerely apologizes for the oversight & greatly appreciates your thoughts, prayers, & understanding during this difficult time.
Congratulations to @PatientZombie on securing the Week 6 award, Jables’ Home Field Advantage:
JHFA
Jables’ Home Field Advantage : Jables said that home field is worth roughly 3 points in determining the gambling lines. Winning this award allows you (and only you) to add 3 points to the scores of all the road teams (that you chose to win) for a given week for your picks only. As a result, it could change some of your losses to ties or even wins for you. For those players who went extra heavy on the home teams, I will allow this award to be used to add 1 point to the scores of all the home teams instead (possibly changing a tie to a win, or a loss to a tie).
The default will be to add three points to your Week 13 Away team’s scores. You may reject the default with a different choice by letting me know before TNF’s kickoff.
That’s not the end of the story! @PatientZombie’s triumph in Week 6 is only the beginning. He shares the spotlight with @ldancer911, as both have clinched the sought-after Change one future pick award. It’s a dynamic duo rewriting the playbook!
This week…
Pass the salt shaker to @OutdoormanNowActuary & @Ezekial_Cumberland. The change from Browns to 49ers didn’t go as planned for the former, and the change from Change Jets to Eagles was a disaster for the both of them. Check your blood pressure, fellas.
But it’s not all bad for the acutary who would rather not be indoors at the moment - he changed his Broncos pick to the Chiefs, lassoing up an extra win for that bold move.
