Not sure how the rules committee looks at this… I meant to declare that I wanted to use these two COFPs from my Weekly Wins, not from my pre-season award. These were two borderline flips, given the bonus award for getting the pre-season ones correct I planned on saving those for more obvious situations.

The rules committee is meeting this evening to plan our holiday buffet. I’ll be sure to bring this up with them and we’ll kick it around like an old pigskin.

In other news…in the illustrious chambers of the Rules Committee, discussions have been as heated as a fourth-quarter two-minute drill. After much spirited debate and a surprisingly shocking ending at a game on the Electric Football table, we’ve reached a decision fit for a championship game.
The matter at hand was the allocation of COFPs, both preseason and regular season. One savvy player, @TheArbitrary, presented a compelling proposal - player’s choice as to when to utilize preseason or regular season COFPs for a more strategic deployment. After careful consideration, a spilled tumbler of red Kool Aid, and a dress tie accidentally dipped into the gravy boat, we’ve decided to back this proposal.
Here at FSP, we play by the honor code, and trust in the camaraderie of this fine group. We appreciate all y’all’s passion for the game and, given his upright character and high moral standing, are willing to make this adjustment, retroactively, to honor TheArbitrary’s request.
With the “Rules Committee” decisions firmly in place, we set our sights on the exciting weeks to come. As the game’s action unfolds, remember that the thrill and spirit of the game are the true highlights.

Jables’ Home Field Advantage : Jables said that home field is worth roughly 3 points in determining the gambling lines. Winning this award allows you (and only you) to add 3 points to the scores of all the road teams (that you chose to win) for a given week for your picks only. As a result, it could change some of your losses to ties or even wins for you. For those players who went extra heavy on the home teams, I will allow this award to be used to add 1 point to the scores of all the home teams instead (possibly changing a tie to a win, or a loss to a tie).
The default will be to add three points to his Week 13 Away team’s scores. He may reject the default, if he’s stupid enough to do that (and he is (but I have a feeling he won’t)), with a different choice by posting about it before TNF’s kickoff.
Hold onto your helga horns because it doesn’t end here! A695814 snatched yet another coveted Change one future pick award. What will A695814 do with this extra slice of destiny-altering power? Only time will tell.

In an audacious move, three players (@UltimateAnyone, @Funemployed, & @TheArbitrary) decided to test fate this week. Collectively, they confidently utilized a total of four COFP awards, believing that swapping their initial selections would lead to fortune. Patriots became Bills, Vikings transformed into 49ers, Falcons flipped to Buccaneers, and Steelers switched to Rams. Regrettably, their optimism was misplaced like a fish at a bakery. Perhaps it’s time for these players to rinse off the taste of regret… just don’t do it in the ocean.
