his title is “administrator”, so i assume he’s doing stuffs on it. maybe downloading old stuff to migrate over? i really have no idea.
i get happy when the ao resurfaces, but then ask myself, do i really care if it stays? we all moved here. the history is nice, but them taking it offline for all these months put the nail in the coffin.
that DWSimpson id is active constantly right now. if you look at the profile, the last active time stamp is always right now. he’s doing something.
If you see it jumping around randomly from forum to forum it’s probably downloading stuff. That’s what my bot did.
when i click on subforums, i don’t see that id on the bottom, but if it’s truly jumping around constantly, probably hard to target it somewhere. he is literally active the very second i click on the id, so probably downloading stuff and i just can’t catch what is probably a bot in any subforum.
I sent a PM to DWSimpson just to say hi, but I heard nothing back. Me sad.

with how that id is currently active at every minute of the day and he’s not like me, i bet it’s a bot.

bot is probably downloading the professional sections of the zombie ao and ignoring the non-professional sections.
DWSimpson there as of 2:21 AM. definitely a bot. only bots and ao fan would be viewing the ao at this hour.
Using a bot to download sections of a forum that large makes no sense. You end up with all the content, but how are you going to organize it, between pages, users, threads, etc. Far easier and far faster to just write a custom program to extract the info right from the database. Then you’d have all the connections in an orderly fashion.
Still, a lot of what’s happened in the last few months have made 0 sense to me or worse seem to be completely counter productive. So what do I know.
