Frustrating one today: hit within 350 miles on the first guess, then missed as I guessed everything around it.

Same. Each of my guesses had a proximity of at least 95%; each guess was within 504 miles. Guess 5 only 54 miles away. Interesting: did you guess everything around it? Neither you nor I guessed anything south of it (not even SE or SW). Maybe there is nothing there remotely close, but I doubt it.

I thought about one guess that is south of it, but ruled it out based on it’s unique shape.

Got the app version in 5. Should have gotten in earlier, but I made the mistake of guessing countries where other than continent I had little idea where they were. So knowing I wanted almost 2500 miles NE of my first guess, guess 2 was almost 3500 due east of where I wanted to go. Did that help? Not much, since I don’t know its location either and guess 3 was 2350 miles SE of it. Finally I had a fair idea where guess 3 was. Guess 4 off only 289, and guess 5 right.

Paradigm shift? For several days the web version and app version have had different countries. Today I did the app version first, and got it in 4, getting closer each time. The map in the web version looked familiar. Guessed the same country. Got it in 1. Perhaps they’ll be in sync from now on.

My first guess was Poland. It said i was off 5382 miles, and to look SE. My second guess was Chad, off 5138 and to go E. That threw me off, as in my head that didn’t seem right.
