Lucky twice in the same week. So often my favorite starter word yields nothing - every once in a while it’s super helpful! 
I used the same starter word the other day on HOARD. My frequent starter is CHAMP. Both Monday and today, it was helpful to know there was an H and where it wasn’t. Having the M this morning as well gave a quick second guess.

No. But it’s not because I’m going to analyze the pics, it’s because people sometimes chatter about spoilery stuff. Like whether there are double letters, or whether an unusual letter was used.
Fwiw, I usually guess 3 starting words that check 15 common letters before I try to get the word. So i almost never come in under 4.

That feels kind of impressive to me. I’m at about 42% 2’s & 3’s (almost all of those are 3’s). But I do fairly often follow Miss Van Pelt’s strategy of using 3 starter words with 15 distinct letters before really guessing, unless my first word or two get plenty of hits.

I do that in Quordle almost all the time, and would have done better for count to solve 4 if it was 100% of the time. You can’t do that strategy in hard mode Wordle. These are my Wordle stats, where I think over 50% is since I’ve started playing enforced hard mode with much of the rest under voluntary hard mode.
No 1’s. That (artificial of course) was in a different browser.

I have played most frequently on my phone, and lost most of those stats when I was moved to the NYT site. Here are my current limited stats there. I definitely never got a 1, and I don’t think I’ve had a two.
