Hmm, i may have eliminated all the other legal second letters by The end of my third guess
Wordle 232 4/6
I’m not the only one that plays in two browsers, am I?
I played once in Chrome. Did well. Haven’t jeopardized my success there by playing a second time.
Only if you’re playing “hard mode”, which is not required. You could have, on guess 5, chosen some word which used multiple of the letters you have still as possibilities.
True. Honestly, I didn’t go through and catalogue the possibilities. I just thought, “oh, that will work! Hmm, guess not. Oh, that will work!”, repeat too many times.
I had to leave it for awhile.

Wordle 233 3/6
I was sure my 2nd guess wasn’t a word, but clicked on it anyway and Wordle accepted it. I looked it up and it is not a Scrabble word, but thefreedictionary says it was in the 1913 edition of Webster. If it disappeared by 1914, I’m guessing it is probably a typo, then? It appears in wikipedia, but as a proper noun.

Sometimes I feel I am better off not getting matches, so I’ll play my elimination words and not guess
Wordle 233 4/6
This was kind of self-imposed “hard mode” but I messed up guess #2 (repeated letter #2 despite knowing it was in the wrong place).

I had a hard time with this one.
Wordle 233 5/6
I believe that’s allowed in hard mode. I think of hard mode as “each subsequent quess must be the possible answer, based on what you know”, but since I play hard mode I know that description is not accurate. As a particular example, if you know there is no “N”, you are still allowed to guess N in a spot that was not previously green, as long as you are repeating all greens and using all yellows somewhere. (I know because I did it, not realizing I was repeating an impossible letter.)
